The Evolution of Nintendo Direct / Nintendo videos in general - Part 3

Maturity, bitches.
In Europe subs are a daily thing for most media. In fact even the UK Directs are subbed rather than using the English dub from the American Directs.

One thing they could add to the treehouse live segments at E3 could be some user interactive features. Such as:
* "Vote on which level you want us to play through on tomorrow's demo of Star Fox U."
* "What questions would you like to ask the developers of Star Fox U."
* Etc.

Dubbed Directs / presentations outside US

Unfortunately, I don't know how much actual dubs in French/German/Italian/Russian/other languages would help in increasing their capability of reaching a larger audience, but IMHO Directs are a bit limited in big non-English speaking countries by being subs-only; while you'll reach fans anyway, there could be people who may be interested, but are blocked by the language barrier, even if subs are present. Having dubs could help in reaching more people, but there's the doubt the investment would be worth it, i.e. the increase in viewers would justify the costs of dubs. I'd like to see dubs, but I don't know if it'll ever happen, honestly.

The Mario kart 8 direct was dubbed to french, spanish, german and italian. It hink that was the only one.
The do susbs of the UK version most of the time though.

It cost them to much to have those country dub actors for each direct, Nitendo usually doenst get quality ones for this things (and smash announcers ironically are the wprse of the bunch). Games that are dubbed though like Star Fox 64 3d and Professor Layton vs Phoeninx Wright vary in quality form country to country.
As a Spaniard I thought both of those dubs were much better than their original treehouse counterparts. But they do this in very FEW occassions.
I really dont understadn how Nintendo of Europe works with that department. Sometimes they do great and dub with good voive actors niche selling games, other times the hire a guy thats probably the cleaner in the german HQ to do voice overs for a best selling game like smash. Utterly baffling.
