Did I say that? I'm going by the history of no well written game when a Hollywood writer was brought on. It'd be nice to hear the writer was brought in early, but I'm not holding my breath. Game writing is very different from a movie script, so its not like the skills transfer the same quality.
To be fair, for the little seen, this game ( if gameplay ends up being not great ) will, at least, have 1000 times better graphics than Ryse.
The main enemies in this game are some type of creatures, right? Not some boring ass humans? Please?

I didn't know what I was reading either, hence the asking for an explanation. Bloody hell. Guys asks for explanation, gets told to read into it whatever he wants, and you wonder why he think you have no point? How hard would it have been to just explain what you meant?I don't know what your reading?
I basically wrote
It looks like Real Next Gen
Not souped up current gen on the PC (like a lot of ports look like on the consoles too)
I have no idea what is hard to understand. Very few games are built for the PC anymore to really push high end architecture to the limits.
If you don't understand that. /wave
I still think that the black bars are a huge pain in the ass, but the game looks awesome. I would love to see how it looks @1080P without the 4xMSAA, probably it would be still amazing.
Eh lets not throw gas on the fire. All the Xbox One fans pop in the thread to leave a little insult after watching the amazing video of The Order 1886.
"Look like Gears and Ryse Son of Rome.."
Bad player, bad sensitivity etc.gorgeous looking game, but the aiming and shooting look kinda stiff.

Please tell us what next gen gameplay is or should be? Keep hearing this complain again and again in 1886 threads. Maybe you should make a "next gen" gameplay game so we all know.
Also not much has been shown and this game has months to be cooked to perfection

What? From the little I saw it looks good but the colors and the video are really not that good to say something like this. Textures by now look way too low-res and there is some flickering on the cloth-textures, too.
We will have to wait for high-quality videos to judge the game graphically.
The PC was held back. Games that really pushed boundaries were rare indeed. The days of PC games bringing the most powerful hardware to its knees has all but disappeared. So you mean that it is actually current gen rather than just being an upressed PS3/X360 port? So you mean PC was held back by last gen?
Well, it's official, I woke up and had a look at the best looking game I have ever seen. Nothing touches this. Nothing.
Congratulations, RAD! The visuals are stunning and the image quality is fantastic.
I only had a look at the OP video, is that the only thing available? I'd like to listen to the actual game sound... and would like to see more gameplay also.

Same, though I'm going to play the semantic TLOU card of "but the humans were the bigger danger!" ...But really, this would be ideal. That was a great example how the gameplay can continuously feel fresh when you split the playtime up so equally and I'll admit that I'd be very disappointed if there there's no effort made at that kind of balance here.I expect same situation as with TLOU. Humans as fodder enemies, and monsters as very dangerous and constant threat. Entire universe will be aimed to tell the story of the monsters, how their presence fucked up out world.

E3?man that does look swell. doesn't look like they're showing off the integral destruction mechanics yet though, so I hope we get some of that in the previews or I'll be a little disappointed
I don't get this comparison. It's like Xbox fans so badly want PS4 to have a debacle as bad as Ryse
i wouldn't consider comparing it to gears an insult. I think this game is going to have to same impact on the new gen the same way gears had in the last gen.
It really is half hard to believe this is coming from a studio that used to make mostly portable games.

Were they supposed to invent a new genre? Are third person shooters for some reason a lesser genre than others?
Facial animation isn't Naughty Dog standard but I'm glad someone has finally pulled off a convincing focus pull:
Lot of great devs who just need a budget and a chance. It really is half hard to believe this is coming from a studio that used to make mostly portable games.

Or maybe people think that considering this video only, the game looks beautiful but gives a really "yet-another-3rd-person-cover-based-shooter" vibe? Just like Ryse looked really nice but was a borefest to a lot of gamers gameplay-wise.
Why must every opinion be about console wars or from fanboys? That's overly simplistic.
