No...if that was the case Toyota might as well just make one car model right? Their best, premium car. No, they promote their Avalon to a specific target market, just like a Camry, Corolla, etc.Isn't that exactly what they do?
When they promote their Avalon aren't tey saying: This is way better than our Camry. Ok, not with those words, but it's what the advertising IS saying essentially - get our premium car, so much better!
Now imagine if those premium cars brought in TWICE or THREE times the profit per sale...
Not only that, but saying the truth on an interview with a gaming site is not at all thesame as actually throwing advertising out there with the same message.
Maybe all of Gaf will notice what is said in an interview, but JoeSchmoe console gamer? He don't know and he don't care. The only people affected might be the more core audience, who likely already know the truth anyway.
The same with this game. They've already said in the past the PC version will offer the best visual experience, I don't think they've ever shied away from that. The 'Joe schmoe' console gamer isn't exactly the target demographic to own a custom built gaming rig, there's no reason to downplay any version of their game. They want Xbox players to buy the game just like PlayStation players and PC players. It's counter productive from a business sense to tell a potential lucrative consumer bsse with cash ready to spend to forget it and go build a PC and play it on that. CDPR is being very smart.
