This might be dumb but... Why is there a woman's division in hot dog eating?

Is there physical differences between men and women that affect how many hot dogs they can quickly eat? I get it's to have a women's champion and to be more inclusive, but is there a biological difference which makes women competing against men in hot dog eating unfair?

I assume the average man is bigger than the average woman? And i assume that extends to stomach sizes too? Still it is a a good question, though honestly I’ve never really cared about professional eating, so whatever the answer is I really don’t care and probably will forget about this thread.

Well (actually taking this seriously), I imagine it's the same reason (or at least tangentially) for all other gender seperations in pro-sports. Women have less muscle mass to maintain and thus require less calories per day to not atrophy, this decreased requirement in turns shrinks their stomach, apatite, and muscles associated with degestion and consumption (swallowing). In other words, men very much would have a biological advantage in an eating competition.
