Read or Die was better than this. Well I liked the first nine episodes or so, Adult Swim used to show them every Christmas Day. It completely fell apart after that, but up to that point was interesting.

I first saw the R.O.D. OVA on Sci-Fi's Animonday block. Loved the shit out of it. Crazy about dat Yomiko. And Miss Deep. Madre de Dios.

Well, it's got great animation and really good VA's. It's just totally let down by the writing. I feel like we'd all do a better job without a whole lot of effort.

There's the TV show and the OAV. The OAV is well liked by everyone. The TV show is good up until a certain point and then jumps the shark, then it jumps the shark again.

Yeah. What actually dealt a pretty big blow was learning Novid wasn't on the animation team, lol. That actually gave the thread some energy with suggestions flying back and forth with an "insider."

I bailed out of the show when it went on break at episode 13. On the one hand, I was spared the idiocy of Pumyra and the other boringness, but on the other I still did see the birth of Cheatara and Jet-arm Panthro.

Sigh... this show... hurts me heart, man.

Also can I say the opening to ROD:TV is amazingly cool, like it's so fucking good. Bond style music with stylized cut a ways. Just so good.
