Ubisoft is shutting down more online services for its older games like Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood in January 2024.

As reported by Eurogamer, an update on Ubisoft's support website confirmed the publisher is "decommissioning" the online services of these games on January 25. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Trials Evolution are also affected.

"Decommissioning the online services for older games is something we do not take lightly, however, it is also a necessity as the technology behind these services becomes outdated," Ubisoft said. "As a result, we will decommission the online services of several games across different platforms on 25 January 2024."

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
  • Assassin's Creed 2 on Xbox 360
  • Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on Mac
  • Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations on PC
  • Ghost Recon Future Soldier on PC
  • Heroes of Might and Magic 6 on PC
  • NCSI on PC
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction on Xbox 360
  • R.U.S.E. on PC, and Trials Evolution on PC

Those PC games are a shame to see on this list

I'm more surprised these games were still active online
For all the shit I give Ubisoft, at least they are good at supporting their games. Something like The Crew 1 which was released back in 2014 is still up. So they keep games 10+ years running, which is much more than most developers are willing to do.
