I just can't give over this button placement
Orayn pls help
It looks like something Mario would be jumping on top of.
How the fuck do you press the X and Y button without taking your thumb off the left track pad??
The whole screen itself is also clickable, like a large single button. So actions are not invoked by a simple touch, they instead require a click. This allows a player to touch the screen, browse available actions, and only then commit to the one they want. Players can swipe through pages of actions in games where thats appropriate. When programmed by game developers using our API, the touch screen can work as a scrolling menu, a radial dial, provide secondary info like a map or use other custom input modes we havent thought of yet.
Could be useful as a secondary controller for games with non-native controller support. I.e. Bioshock 2 and most older titles.
$60 to the first person to beat sf4 on hard wit that thing.
Is anyone actually reading the link before posting or just looking at the picture?
Just curious because it doesn't seem so.
Anyway colour me curious. If it is really much closer to K&M precision than sticks I'm in. Looks pretty well thought out to me including the buttons but it seems everyone is trying to compare it to current gamepads without reading the detail to understand what's actually behind the design.
I don't know if it's just fanboys or people are blind by their love of steam but this controller looks like a piece of fucking shit.

Its meant to work with all current, legacy, and future games as long as they have m/kb controls.
That is the key to the design.
False, see above.
Actually, better yet, go read the article. There are several points that are in direct opposition to your opinion.
The Steam Controller is designed to work with all the games on Steam
Fucking finally touch pad for sticks, can't believe it took that long.
