I need to watch this stream when it's over.
How long has the workshop been available versus nexus? (really don't know)2.4mio users use the direct mod downloads from steam.
82milion downloads and 19,5k mods? Pretty small compared to nexus mods with 31k mods and 398milion downloads (yes these are the numbers for skyrim alone)
Looks like the most people haven´t even used the Steam Workshop to download mods.

Imagine how much better last gen would have been if we started off with bunny armor instead of horse armor

The Workshop was originally used for distribution of new items for Team Fortress 2,[67] the Workshop was revamped in early 2012 to extend support for any game, including mods for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
12,355 gifts given.
Nexus was there from release and has a pre-established community of uploaders and users who have used it since Oblivion or even prior. They had stuff up before the Creation Kit was even available IIRC.How long has the workshop been available versus nexus? (really don't know)
This is pure speculation, but a developer did note on twitter a secret press release was given out that no one can share, any thoughts as to what it might be? Personally I hope it's a game to go along-side Source Engine 2 which was mentioned yesterday in their OpenGL talk. It could even be Left 4 Dead 3 which was outed by someone who visited their offices.

this was from yesterday, wasn't posted because lack of #sdd, just saw it
"Really good talk on making decisions based on stats. At one point Valve tracked every bullet fired in CS:GO. Insanity!"
whoa
Ah, good recall! That's great then, can expect one codebase, one IDE, one toolset, one level editor, and I suppose one set of binaries for all three platform branches. Holy shit, that'll be great.he's probably joking then
also Valve did mention this last year: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=605591
so now the last of the last of the last should know now there will be no Steam VR, they work together with Oculus.
so oculus in 2015 or soon after???? Thats a real bummer
Oculus is before. The prototype that Steam has is targeting 2015.
I only just started skimming this but I'm glad their recommendations include a minimum of 60fps. Didn't think that the push to make that standard might actually be achieved because of vr.#SteamDevDays RT @oculus Today, we're excited to share our VR Best Practices with all of you: https://developer.oculusvr.com/best-practices
