Faster to die on higher framerates?
Bring it.
I would wait for a patch....but after Nier, I'm not going to hold my breath.
One more nitpick. When using a mouse and keyboard and sliding towards the camera, there's some sort of animation bug that prevents Sam from actually looking/aiming behind him as he normally would. This isn't an issue if you pull off the same maneuver with a controller. I'd say it doesn't have an impact on gameplay, but your bullets do seem to be physically shooting out from a different location than normal. And it just looks incredibly silly.

Edit: My mistake, the gif labeled 144FPS was actually running at about 68FPS. I didn't note the drop in framerate from recording with FRAPS. Luckily, the damage seems to stop scaling after 60FPS (it still takes about a second for AR mode to activate whether at 60FPS or 144FPS)
You tell those 2010 devs!!!Attention Japanese Game Developers: It is possible to write game code in such a way that timers for things like damage and invincibility are based on a number of milliseconds rather than a number of frames of video.
Because they actually don't know shitHow did Digital Foundry not pick this up...

But does it make the game better? Valkyria Chronicles was actually better when the bug was still around. The increased difficulty made the game way more tactical, instead of just going LOL RUSH SCOUT
I've read two opposite things on this today. You're suggesting Valkyria Chronicles was better with the bug, but someone in the Vanquish thread mentioned certain missions were literally impossible because tanks couldn't climb certain hills. Surely that's not better? But does it make the game better? Valkyria Chronicles was actually better when the bug was still around. I see, that's not too good.well it restricts some of the crazier stuff you can do. Based on my 100fps hard mode gameplay last night I'd say that it's still quite doable and makes bosses more intense. But you can't freely boost around and melee very much.

Or because the purpose of their videos isn't a comparison that focuses on the gameplay but on the technical graphical aspects of the port.
Where it makes perfect sense to pay on a low difficulty and you are unlikely to pay much attention to that then.
Look, you think devs would learn from adventure games in the 80s-90s not to code their stuff to the Hz of the system, or in this case, the FPS.

Both comments are true, kind of.
Units would take faster damage at 60fps, which made a common overpowered strategy much less usable, and generally improved the balance of the game. However, it also added physics problems which caused the tank problems you read about.
The tank thing only really fucked up a couple of missions really, and was otherwise not much of a big deal. Ideally people wanted to have the physics issues fixed but the new balance kept.
Also, Bayonetta had QTE issues related to the 60fps. I don't know if it was fixed in a later patch, I'm pretty sure many players didn't notice that too (just found the QTE insanely hard at certain points).
So you're telling me that if I run Vanquish at 0 FPS I'll be invincible?
Bayonetta runs at 60 on consoles so no it didn't.
This is why developers won't make games 60fps!
