You can't play without cd-key online either and there's a lot of people who have no idea how to install pirated stuff without asking. I could argue this is the same with modded community.

Watched some early campaign footage earlier. I'm really looking forward to playing this baby when it finally arrives. I already pre-ordered the Epic Edition :). I hope they're going to up the frame rate, because it looked a bit sluggish in the videos I saw. But that isn't going to be a problem because from what I've read it's a development build from March.

If anything this leak will reinforce people's purchases after seeing the videos.

Epic should be extremely proud of what they have accomplished. The art is heads and tails above the first two games.

If it's from a devkit, it's not signed with retail keys and therefore pretty much impossible to play on standard retail 360s, unless you have until the heat death of the universe to bruteforce MS's root retail key.

Though Gears of War 3 isn't scheduled to ship until September, an early build of the game's single-player campaign has leaked to the Internet, causing a flood of spoiler-filled videos to surface on YouTube.

No word yet on how this early build was obtained, but Microsoft said it's working with various security teams.

"We have seen the reports of Gears of War 3 content being propped on the Web and working closely with our security teams and law enforcement to address the situation," Microsoft said in a statement given to IGN.

"This content is not from a final build and is not representative of what fans will enjoy when the game launches."

Microsoft's major release last September, Halo: Reach, was also leaked to the web a few months early.

Also, on topic of the other spoiler:
Baird being dead is an old rumor that wasn't a result of this leak, correct?

So I subscribed to a dude on YT who was uploading campaign footage. So he Uploaded a video called 'GEARS OF WAR 3 WHAT HAPPENDS AT THE END!! SPOILER' ,I watched the video and it was just him talking about the ending which I didn't listen to him and a text in the video saying
'the locusts qween is marcuses mum'
with no gameplay footage at all. So it seems like it was only act 1 of the campaign that was leaked, as well as the multiplayer.

I dislike this. I like to know what everyone does, sometimes like to search them up to see their other works.

And it's not like either studio is really "star free", there are far more anonymous studios out there that still credit people categorically.

no this is a developer copy and different to the previous one this actually has the full campaign with all chapters, this is very true.

some of the cinematic's are not finished and all mp maps can be played across all modes

its media blackout time guys

Shaping up to be the best looking game on the Xbox360 and top 5 best looking game on console. Looks absolutely incredible, and they seem to have notched up the story telling a bit -- not original (takes strong cues from some other games) but still great to see.

Looking forward to when it comes out.

Overpass (these were the other two beta maps that we didn't get, but many folks have played them at public events or at least seen many official videos and screens of them)

Gridlock (Now with a new theme, Char, which is a city Epic has mentioned that you visit, petrified corpses are all over the map and turn to dust when you shoot them. Things are smoking or on fire. The map has an old world/ medieval motif, instead of water, there is a massive drop off, you can see the ruined city in the distance, the map is set at night, with full moon illuminating everything)

Azura (Jacinto 2.0, a vibrant royal courtyard of some sort with plants, waterfalls and fountains)

Dry Dock (an abandoned shipping yard during the day. Really bright and colorful. Looks like something from Brink)

Rust Lung (Inside, what appears to be a battleship, during a storm out at sea, reminds me of Process from Gears 1. It looks like you can summon a Silver Back too)

Sand Bar (large beach level shown at E3)

Hotel (shown at E3, beach resort/ casino at night)


COG:

Marcus, Cole, Baird, Dom
Clayton, Dizzy, Sam, Prescott
Anya, Cole Train (aka Thrashball Cole), Jace, Onyx Guard

All five starting weapons have 14 skins, not including the default skin.

The Vulcan is a new power weapon. It's a shoulder mounted Mulcher, with massive belt fed ammo clip that is held by another player. Firing it causes your character to yell and talk shit to the enemy.

The Onyx Guard (which I remember seeing in a magazine scan AGES ago) has a mechanical/ robotic voice. Sam and Bernie appear to have Australian accents.

I'm surprised these videos are still up to be honest. MS/ Epic ninjas have yet to take any action. Anyway, I doubt this will have any serious or long lasting repercussions. I was already on board day after the first night of the beta. September 20th is gonna be amazing.

I wonder why Commando Dom is in there as one of the playable characters in the leaked version if it's the GameStop exclusive skin

Anyway the news maps look incredible. It's crazy what Epic is able to do with this game.

I wouldn't be shocked if the release date got moved up by a month, or a few weeks.

Can anyone link me to JUST multiplayer map stuff? I absolutely do NOT WANT to be spoiled in any way of the single player, because yes I'm one of the 4 guys out there who actually gives a shit about the Gears story. :/
