Serious question - Is China's Holiday season schedule the same as ours? Should we expect a Christmas bump?
How do they want to do that without completely overhauling some games because of the strict censoring? If they have sold that amount, as said above, MS should be getting all big 3rd party franchises to the market. Each series has potential to generate real momentum for the console.
They have a China-only Live?
:lol I mean, yeah, physically, there's a lot of consoles existing in the country at this moment. Though I don't think factory lines are considered part of a country's console market. There must be heaps more. Aren't they made there?

I would imagine they have to as part of being allowed to sell xbones in the country, presumably hosted and adminstered by a local business
The first one is made up, Doffen is correct though, the government approved them to sell 5million. On phone so I can source in a bit if someone doesn't
Call of Duty, FIFA and NBA2K are already in China.
Just not on consoles.
Sucks not being able to play with chinese players.
Hope the country opens up more.
I thought that they'd said that they had a license (or whatever it is) to sell 100,000 in China, not that they had sold that many.
You just completely made an estimate from nothing. You deserve sarcasm.I really don't like your tone. Rather respond to me in a civilised manner, or feel free to ignore the post.
The PC versions of these franchises range from terrible to broken.
Next step is to get minecraft approved and watch the money flow in

Of course it would be exclusive. It'd be silly to give Sony anything in a new market. I'd still charge $10 thoughMS could even make it XB1 exclusive now. Better yet...make it F2P there

I was just going to say something similar. If they make Minecraft XB1 exclusive in China (cause they can), then some serious damage can be had. All speculation though.
While it's the pocket edition on smartphones, it never set China on fire.

Taking a look at China, Japan, and South Korea - Minecraft has struggled to carve out a long-term position, performing best in South Korea, where it peaked at #21. In Japan and China, things are notably more patchy, especially in China where it's never entered the top grossing top 100.
Here's what will actually get China.
Microsoft funding One Piece, SnK and various other popular anime licensed game in AAA production, maybe in a f2p model.

What's the price of bone like relative to the local expectations?
Good/Bad?
Also is it cheaper compared to NA adjusted to income?
Well, considering if it were a negative post it'd be embraced. Yeah it kind of is. You're the one who said something like this could never happen. Was your post really needed? Was a post like this really needed?
Yeah? It's 100k..

I thought the launch has been delayed?!
China's middle class is getting richer, that's bad for their government (people will have more needs like free speech and a fair justice system), but good for companies, that sell entertainment goods. And I think products from the US and Europe are more popular than products from Japan.

is 100k out of 1,3 billion good?
What happens to Xbox if China becomes the main market? I've seen people (both in jest and earnest) say that China is important. Sony and Nintendo are already invested in Asian gaming so I forsee only business as usual. But if >50% of Microsoft's market ends up in China, what will happen to the Xbox brand?
