But then the real war starts with game loading times. Every 0.1 second will mean the world to fanboys.Omg i wish these consoles would launch already so we can argue about shit that actually matters
Switch boots up in like 2 seconds
Considering the only thing Playstation has been able to cling to hardware wise is this “lighting fast SSD”, this is kind of a big deal.I don't understand why people are bothered about this, don't these new consoles have low power always on modes like last gen?

My win 10 PC with SSD boots up in like 8 seconds I think. These consoles must be doing a lot more under the hood.
What's your CPU? I'm guessing Intel, right? The thing is, AMD CPUs are known for disgustingly long boot times, and since that's what the consoles are using, 20s seems about right, unfortunately.

Now load times matter!
You don't simply compare cold boot based on SSD speeds.
There's more there. Each console have a set of hardware and software checkups. You cannot compare anything without a log data for each console.
Stop!!!!!!!I expect the performance of these two consoles to be very similiar.
Just send it my way, I'll take good care of it!Preorder cancelled
Thats's because your PS5 loads all your games at the startup.
It's mainly console only gamers who have no clue about SSDs thinking they're magic. These consoles probably do all sorts of checks and maybe sign into their respective services in the background before you get to the user screen.People think stuff should be instant
Does anyone know how the startup jingle/chime/melody sounds like on the PS5?
SSD is probably in PS4 mode there.
That's a joke™Damage control.
Anyway what matters is the games. Curious to see the speed of the games on PS5 with that ultra fast SSD.
To those saying it is fake, how come then this official reveal video below shows same background? How do you fake the DS5 controller with blue surround LED lights around it blinking when the machine boots up in the reddit video?
. I got a new 8K TV and had to turn of BOTW because I was about to vomit.
You can see SSD is happening in the console world specifically load times and it will unfold as the gen goes on SSD is in console gamers faces now but because it’s so new this is where confusion happens. It's mainly console only gamers who have no clue about SSDs thinking they're magic. It's the same with loading games. The SSD will shorten the time needed for the searching and reading of game data but there is more to loading a game than that.
I'm more interested in that black gamepad.
Who knew?The prototype was black!
Original leak from reddit. Guy claims to have PS5 (maybe a Russian influencer), and offered to show the video for $100. Redditor paid for it.
PS5 might shave a second off if you have auto login set as it loads the profile seelction screen rather than UI. And the video, while it looks legit, could still be a fake

Boot up from 00:37 - 00:57
Boot up from 00:00 - 00:22
This shit matters.Omg i wish these consoles would launch already so we can argue about shit that actually matters
