"Chill" and "lit" need to go. I can deal with "chill out" and its variations but "she was pretty chill", "it was chill", or "that party was lit" are just awful. I refuse to hold a conversation with a person after hearing that. I just can't do it. I understand we all use slang but these don't even make any sense. They destroy sentences and just sound so fucking dumb the way they're being used.
I don't even know what the fuck "thot" or "p good" mean. I have yet to hear those. But I'm not impressed.

"As fuck" isn't that recent. It was around before you were born although "as hell" was more common in the '80s and '90s, in my experience.
Very much in agreement. On a similar note using terms like "destroyed" or "slammed" when talking about someone winning an argument infuriates me to an irrational level.

I'm a Brit, I think hitting your kid in public here is illegal, but not in private, but to me it seems like they don't bother making spanking kids illegal just because it'd be hard to enforce, you'd need another adult who agrees with the law to catch the parent, or an older sibling to report it.
Having said that though I wish they would still outlaw it, I don't know how unpopular this opinion is. A lot of people see it as normal and I see staggering amounts of people on comments sections on social media talk about 'how their mums would slap them if they did this' in posts related to kids misbehaving and so on.

I don't want to get in a debate. It can still be hard to enforce wife beating as well. There are families that won't report that either(I have personal experience),yet we still have laws against domestic violence of women. I know that there will be people that fall through the cracks, but it's worth fighting for.

The final episodes of DS9 were the least favorite part of the show for me. The stream of cliffhanger episodes after the fantastic Only a Paper Moon felt like a slog and the way Dukats arc ended was terrible.

I can't help but feel too many people get tattoos just for the sake of getting them, or because everyone else they know is getting ink done. And then they get too many of them and maybe that one, highly personal, individual tattoo they once got becomes lost in the noise.
If I could easily delete the emoji "font" themselves off all my devices I would. It's made internet writing uglier and more difficult to parse than the days of l33t-speak or mYsPaCe-speak.
My opinion of Nintendo is still recovering from the N64, some 20+ years later.

This is a good one. There are some girls on my study abroad trip who IIRC are getting another tattoo for the sake of it when we get back to the states.
People aren't making enough effort to carpool. I think incentivizing carpools and not budging is a good example.

Another opinion that seems unpopular on here anyway - you work hard for your money, so if you want to spend it on fancy things that make you happy, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Go get that $350 wallet, you've earned it!

I do think Lord of the Rings is boring (although not nearly as boring as the books are. God I hate how Tolkien writes), but they're great films as far as cinematography goes.
Queen were not a good band. Unlike their contemporaries they never made a great album.
Also Game of Thrones has sucked since season 3 or 4, it's nasty trash and the showrunners are clearly hacks since every change they made from the source material has been for the worse. It looks nice tho.

Yea everytime I see someone covered in tattoos it usually looks stupid or will look terrible in 10 years when all that ink starts fading. Especially cursive tattoos as you can barely read them after a few years.

The new Star Wars movies should have different music. Not that I dislike John Williams, but give someone else a chance. And no every movie in the series has to use orchestral music. The spin-off movies are the perfect chance to try something different. Imagine a space fight going to EDM or something. They've already shit on Star Wars so much, what makes the music so sacred?
As someone who has studied jazz and played in jazz ensembles, I find this to be true, but mostly true for the artists themselves.
Last group I played in was a Jazz orchestra class. The music wasn't good at all. It felt like everyone was just playing for themselves. Like a massive circle jerk for jazz musicians, while anyone in the audience is an afterthought.
I always preferred playing in bands that put the audience first.

There are actually places that make their own ketchup, for example, where it's not really syrupy and there's no added sugar. It actually tastes more akin to a lighter fare barbecue sauce, but with more of a tomato flavor and a delightful tanginess.
Regular ol' Heinz corn syrup ketchup? Sure, I could see your angle. I don't agree with it (people can eat what they want, and I myself have Simply Heinz on occasion) but I do agree that, as you get older, you develop a palate and can afford to expand and enjoy flavors of things without a dousing of sugar sauce.
