Why would you do that? said:I tried Configurable, and it really annoyed me because it seems so disorganized, menu-wise and control-wise. It took me a long time to find the menu to get all missing covers and change themes (I had to push 1 on a game to go to the game settings, then push it again to go to global settings) and the function of all of the buttons are weird to me... like, in a menu, I can't push A to advance, or else I'd load a game. This loader does many things right that others don't, and I noticed quite a few little things I liked... but the button layout would ultimately confuse me in the long run. So this loader is staying on my hard drive, when I don't have an SD card in.
To me, Coverfloader looks very nice, and Configurable is... well, very configurable and fast, and USB Loader GX is very user friendly and fast. I guess I prefer the latter.
That's fair, it is a bit confusing to learn the control scheme at first. However, I can think of a quick fix that might make it work the way you want:
The only menu that you can't push A on is the confirmation menu before you play the game, and it tells you to push 1 for the options, but I guess that could be fixed to add a selectable choice that defaults to Start but also allows you to select to go to options and/or global options. It wouldn't change default operation, and seems like an easy fix that would probably be quick enough to make it into the next version. I'll let oggzee know.
Are there any other confusing elements of the controls that you would like improved?
