Oh snap
Jon Snow was killed in the most recent book. That event happened in the last episode of last season. He was resurrected in last night's episode. This resurrection has not occurred in a book that has been released as of yet.
R + L = J bro. That shit has been known for fucking 18+ YEARS.
So the lady in red's powers were already known? Because that was foretold really years ago.

Cmon everyone expected that to happen.
It might happen differently in the books. There are like 4 different ways it could happen. The show kind of cut out some possible avenues.
Interesting, thanks! I haven't watched a single episode of the series (waiting for it to end) but I find it fascinating. The only argument against that fact is; In the booksWe do know thatunless I'm misremembering Mel wasn't at Castle Black when Jon died, but had already left Stannis saying she had to take care of something.followers of the Lord of Light can bring people back, case in point being Thoros of Myr and Berric Dondarrion/Lady Stoneheart.
Ayyyy

The worst is people who don't think they're spoiling an epsiode by posting something like "OMG THAT EPISODE" or "THAT END!!!"
Non-spoiler reactions still create expectations that take away from the natural experience.
Yeah. Stuff like that happens on gaming side as well. Sometimes it is enough to just see several related thread titles to know what's going on. You just cannot escape it unless you cut your internet connection.
I think most every entertainment news site had the spoiler up front and center. EW, TVLine, THR, Variety, Deadline, and so on all pretty much had variants of the same declaration up on the first page. You had an impossible task, OP. Hell, even the front page of EW's magazine is this:
http://www.ew.com/sites/default/files/i/2016/05/02/gfkdaldfafsdfs.jpg
You couldn't have avoided it for long.
All I know is I'm really glad I walked on eggshells for five years or whatever in order to not spoil anything for people who hadn't read the books, just to have my Facebook feed immediately overwhelmed with spoilers for post-Dance events as soon as they happened.
I don't really care because especially this particular thing was expected, but it's still funny to see how little people care.
If you were avoiding TV spoilers why on earth would you even risk going to a website dedicated for TV news and discussions? Social Media + Entertainment news sites = no go if you want to avoid any kind of spoilers.

Sorry dude. FWIW, I'm appreciative of the book folks who went out of their way not to spoil things for us noobs.
I got spoiled by an Entertainment Weekly headline that Google Now fed me. =/
Yeah EW gives no fucks.EW was particularly bad about the whole spoiler. I remember checking the site at 11 PM EST, and it was just flooded with spoiler headlines. The first 3 articles were all about the spoiler, and it wasn't even disguised well.
Yeah EW gives no fucks.

How did they keep the secret from President Obama when he got advance copies?
Clearly you're not supposed to go them......Multiple websites have posted about spoilers from last night's Game of Thrones. It's downright annoying! It's only been a day and yet headlines and screencaps spoiled the big thing that happened. What's the point of even going to these sites if they don't even bother to cover up spoilers of a show that not everyone can watch live?
did you even see the dude edited his post

Uh yes that should tell you something...... dont go to them. Going on the Internet, anywhere will always be playing with fire, remember that golden rule. The home page though? Other entertainment sites that don't solely focus on TV posted the spoiler on their main page as well.
