It wouldn't surprise me if it picked up some awards, but I think Breath of the Wild and Odyssey will be tough to beat overall.

I remember one gaming outlet tried giving GOTY to Minecraft before it was out of beta and they were all arrested for it.

Maybe from a couple sites here and there; but the overwhelming majority of GOTY awards will be going to Zelda, possibly Mario, and occasionally Persona 5 or Horizon.

If you mean GAF, I would be absolutely BLOWN AWAY if anything other than Zelda or Horizon win.

Goty Is like boxing ... You can own multiple titles and still not be regarded as a champ

(Haven't watched boxing in a bit though maybe different now)
