Assuming that's a legit photo then black confirmed (For the US) as far as I'm concerned.
Unless Nintendo pulls a fast one on us and says "Black only for Japan!

Nah, Nintendo announced it a while back. Both white and black will be available.
It's been ASSUMED for a long time now. It will probably launch in black, but it was never confirmed.

They're wrong. Nintendo has not announced or confirmed anything about colors. They've just showed some colors. Watch the E3 conference again and tell where they confirm anything about colors.

With regards to the Nintendo Land, Nintendo didn't announce Wii Sports was a pack in game until mid September, right? Did the Wii Promo Materials have any indication of Wii Sports included at all?
It might be a bit early to be making accusations if Nintendo Land will be a standalone title.
After all, it got a lukewarm reception at E3, all they can do now at this stage is pump it up as best they can.

I watched an old promo yesterday of people playing with colored Wii Remotes. I love shots with all of the colors. If only Nintendo released those colors at launch. They just look so fun.
Seeing the Wii like that makes me a bit bitter about the design of Wii U. It just seems like a downgrade to me.
Anyway, if Wii promo materials arrived in August as well, I suppose I shouldn't get my hopes up for an October launch.

Well there goes part of my paycheck.
i can't remember the 3ds. did we know it was coming out in march 2011 back in december 2010?
neat. i guess that means we'll have a price and a launch date before the end of the month.

LOL. No, it really wasn't. And that MSNBC link you have is incorrect. That was never announced at the press conference, nor on the show floor. The graphics at the booth had both black and white consoles, but there was never any confirmation that either of them would be available at launch.

Regarding black vs white consoles ... Wii U is gloss isnt it? In that case it'd have to be white since glossy black is not exactly easy to keep dust-free or fingerprint free.

I like my gloss black 3DS but yeah I often find myself cleaning it with a cloth

i have a lime green DSi i got from Japan. Lime green is the best. I think I'll actually choose the Black Wii U though, which will be the first time I've ever chosen black when I had options not to.
Next week I can finally get my deposit down and start paying the rest off hopefully. Sounds good to me!

My area gamestop and bestbuy had nothing up today, however the gamestop manager said they just got displays in the mail. I also asked about preorders and referenced the 13th and he knew nothing. slow gears they have turning over there.

This leak was very embarassing for Nintendo, but if launch date and price were leaked before official statements that would be utterly ridicolous.
Nothing of consequence has leaked though right? I hardly call a date for preorders a leak. And we also have speculation with ranges from October to November to December for release in various regions.
i.e. We know nothing.

I think I will never understand why they already haven't released those; I believe new colors could spark sales carrying Wii for this year, leading to a better hype for Wii U as well
