Been meaning to post in one of these for ages, but always seem to find them just before deadline :(

I am off to V Festival in the UK this weekend so hopefully I will be able to take some appropriate shots there. I am definitely, DEFINITELY, going to enter this time.

New theme looks wicked BTW :)

Still Alive
^That's really nice (out of curiosity, where is it?).

VNZ's too.

@tch, it's just an ipad case. I thought the texture and seams were neat.

Omg, you guys. The pictures submitted so far are amazing ;____;

I can't even compete, but I said I would submit something so here is a picture of a manhole ;__________;

I might change it later...

It's the Fort Worth Water Gardens; it's featured at the end of Logan's Run. After getting home that night I had a thousand different ideas for cool shots I could have attempted while there, but it was 110F and I could barely focus when I was there.

After much deliberation I've gone with this one due to the angle of the shot and the overlapping hands.

Didn't get much chance to take photos at the festival unfortunately :(.

I'm really happy to see the amount of photos in this thread, and I hope it's a trend which continues!

I'm probably a bit rusty with photography nowadays, but I'll try and get my entry in later today.

How do you add a photo to your post from flickr? Can't seem to get it to work...

Go to the page with your photo.

Click once on the "Share" drop down menu, right above your photo.

Click on the "Grab the HTML/BBCode" arrow for the link to appear.

Select "Medium 800 (534 x 800)"
Copy and paste the link.

-Copy only the
section for only your photo.
-Copy from the first url section for your photo and the link.

That reminds me, didn't we agree to up the max photo size to 1024 pixels? I seem to remember we did..

Absolutely brilliant photos guys, I'm impressed!

This looks like it for now:

Here is my submission, hopefully you will like it.

Edit: resubmit

A 90º degree view of the dome of the Sanctuary of Loiola on the Basque Country:

The dome has a 24meter diameter, it is huge.

Is a panorama okay?

Stitched from 2 photos.

A tentative entry, just in case I can't come up with something better before the deadline.

I'll just post this photo I take in a mall. it's nothing special, just from my small Canon s95 camera, I'm just getting into the hobby, bought my first dslr canon 600d not too long ago but didn't bring it with me when I take this photo.

Been trying out shooting some new angles on a recent portrait session, so I guess this will have to be my entry!

Edit - Changed my submission

I guess this one will have to do for now:

Blew up the exposure to see more stars.. and all the hidden noise :/. I really want to get a remote.

Sony A65
35mm

For now I think.
Angles of spokes, door frame, unfinished wall beams, geometry of the frame.

Nothing technical or fancy... I just really like the colors.

It's really hard for me to make a decision on which photo to enter.

Gf49A.jpg

Nothing special, but this is the first time I've used my camera in a long time.

It's going to be hard, but it's time to get voting!

1st. VZN: Absolutely nailed the concept... I really like his interpretation. Add on top his processing at it's and easy winner for me.

2nd. arnoldocastillo2003: Something like this was my first thought for what I might want to submit. I'd like to see the framing a bit more symmetrical, but I doubt I could do any better.

Honorable mention: Valkyr Junkie: Angles out the ass. Jesus Christ... I probably would've made this #1, but I'm not a huge fan of monochrome.

First off, everyone did such a great job here. Awesome photos all around. So many spot-on for the theme. My first and second place votes were pretty tough, and I still think they could go either way:

1. VNZ
2. Valkyr Junkie
hms: sneaky77, guess (couldn't pick just one... and I wish I could keep going on down the list!)

While I think that others might have hit the topic a bit better I assume that everyone did take their pictures with the challenge in mind. So I will just vote for those that speak to me most, and on those two I pretty much have to flip a coin to decide which one I prefer:

1) Scythian Empire
I like the lighting and the whole motive just has some serenity to it.
2) pringles
Maybe I'm currently biased by EvilLores traveling adventures in Sweden and my fond memories of past holidays, but what a glorious sky. And as I fancy myself a wide angle photographer too, that 14mm is a plus.
