How people can view PSP as not successful on ANY sort of level is simply beyond me.
Its going to pass GBA SP model sales in just a year (6.5 million source is Nintendo's report), hit 6 million in Oct-Nov and with boost of sales for christmas, be past the GBASP by summer 08'.

well, we could have said the same about Mario sunshine in the USA. The game sold loads of units but the hardware flopped hard.
it's an inverse case here. Hardware sells, software don't.
My point is, low software figures don't make hardware figures less worthy or less decent.

In particular, Brain Age, 1000 Recipes, and others like it maintained their Golden Week levels of sales, presumably due to the demand generated by Mother's Day.

And please don't bring up the Ipod when people are discussing software viability of a platform, that's a new level of reaching.
The PSP's hardware sales are impressive, it's the most successful 2nd place console/handheld ever in Japan...but the game sales simply aren't piling up as expected with a userbase its size. It's sold 2x WW what the Xbox360 sold and it can't hold a candle to its software sales.
