Pretty much. It's completely reasonable to consider 1.2 M a possibility. I already have 300k pegged as my Aug NPD guess (roughly), and I expect at least 900k to move in Sept/Oct w/ Halo 3.

Who wants to bet a month ban that the Wii won't surpass the X360 in sales this year? Meaning ending in the last quarter.
It probably will pass it this month, it just won't be reflected in this thread until September. By the end of August, the current numbers will be almost 2 months out-of-date in NA and Europe and 4 weeks old for Japan. The Wii will probably pass the 360 in a about a week realtime.koam said:

On to specifics, how would we accurately determine this without consistent and reliable PAL/Other numbers? Wii is already ahead of the 360 using the most recent Japanese numbers and U.S. + Canada through June. The deciding factor would be PAL/Other territories, of which I haven't heard a total PAL/Other number for the 360 in over a year. (We get a few individual countries but not a total PAL/Other number.) By my estimations, you'd be totally wrong, but I doubt you'd accept a month's ban based on my estimations.

It's a month not a permaban. If your GAF account means sooo little to you, then don't ever log in again.

The only time I know of a system doing 600K outside of November or December was when PS2 dropped to $199, and it had already been averaging over 300K in the preceding months.donny2112 said:

SMBB will sell a huge amount of consoles in Japan alone. Halo fever will have probably died down by December, leaving the door wide open for Nintendo to sell a huge amount of systems if they ship enough.

Aren't all 3 consoles still missing sold figures from a few countries?
I understand it's probably hard to get sales from a lot of the Asian and Middle Eastern countries, but still.
I was under the impression ALL 3 of the consoles had sales a fair amount higher than what's listed in the OP.
