6 Minute Killzone Shadowfall Multiplayer (Team Deathmatch)

I played this demo myself in Köln, the game is quite beautiful and the controls are so much more precise than in Killzone 2 (the only Killzone I've played). Looking forward to it.

How fluid was it? Really 60fps?
How do the controls compare to other shooters out there?

Sure. It's heavier than the DS3 but not "that" heavy, could be a bite heavier for my taste but it's ok. The new triggers, D-Pad and buttons are great. I was quite surprised by the shape of the two "cornets" left and right, they are sort of perfectly round. The demo didn't use the Touch-Pad, but it clicks without a loud noise, which is great.

Weird feeling when the developer told me top press the "Options" button. :)

I can see this game becoming REALLY popular on sites like Gaf, their Warzones are made for communitys like us. :)

How did KZ SF control? Did it have that weighty feel? (While albeit being more precise?)

Oh god I'm so tired, but let me take out my notes. :)

60FPS: No, I don't think so. It's not final and maybe it was 60 and I just couldn't really see it. But there were definitely some really minor hiccups here and there, surely caused by the internet connection though. We played against the developer team in the Netherlands.

The controls are really direct. So no let me move my stick to the left and see my weapon do the same a few seconds later. The characters still feel heavy though, but not too heavy. I've only played Killzone 2 though. Compared to TitanFall it's much slower.

So i watched the video in slow mo and i noticed that the character had an ability where he emits a pulse that stuns enemies, which is why they look all grainy light around the edges.
I also noticed that the shield does get destroyed in one part of the video, cannot say if it was EMP or gunfire that destroyed it.
Also the guns have incredible amount of detail, even has a feel of working parts and all that.
There are also Sentry Turrets in the game, however it remains unclear if its belonging to the Support class since Engineer isnt present.
The underbarrel attatchment that was used to take out the sentry bot at the end of the video is mini-ature version of the one Sev uses to fight the Giant Mech Bot in Killzone 3.

I think the rain is a bit distracting. Too white and too dotted.. Might sound weird but it stands out to me.

The game (or the MP part at least) has aliassing that isn't AS appearent due to resolution, but becomes appearent when you move and you get those shimmering lines that are caused by jaggies. I still wish this was a thing of the past..

But ey... game lookes freaking amazing.

Just watched the 1GB vid. The night-time map really brings it together stupendously, visually.

Very 'next-gen'.

Only complaint is that when a different player model is enveloped in that blue/white particle cloud...I don't know, it just maybe could look better. Hard to put my finger on it. When you're experiencing that particle effect first-person yourself though, it looks amazing.

If your basing aliasing on the photos keep in mind the photos have no post proccesing (direct feeds) and killzone likely uses fxaa or mlaa

average object LOD and texture/material quality is much higher in K4 multiplayer than in crysis 3 single player let alone multiplayer.

PC for MMOs, FPS like BF3, RTS, DoTA2, Point and Click, Dragon Age, The Witcher 2

PS3 for Naughty Gods, Journey, WipeoutHD, KZ2,3 etc

You can have both, and Im a poor student :)

No, the 1GB movie. What i talked about becomes appearent in movement. The shimmering lines. Game looks pretty clean in general though.

Wish there was a free to play multiplayer section or something. I've never played KZ and while it looks good I'm a hardcore CoD player and I've dabbled in BF. I can't afford to buy CoD, BF4 and KZSF along with other games I want with it.

There will probably be a demo (aren't they required?), if you have two FPS's at launch you could maybe get KZ at Christmas? It is quite different to other shooters IMO.

The Multiplayer is a separate file to download, isn't it? So theoretically Sony could offer the Multiplayer for free for a weekend or something like that. Let's see.
 
I would be fucked up if you could destroy it. It would be just as messed up as the spawn system in KZ3.
Whats the point of establishing a spawn point when a rocket, or a grenade can just negate it. Far to simple and it would drastically change the battle tactics for the worst.

No it wouldn't. Have you played BF3? They have the same thing and it works. The whole point is to place it tactically.

I find it even more amazing that in the end, the eye candy gif porn fest comes from the mp. It shows how much KZ shines with its atmosphere and effects.

Looking at the run and gun section in the first video we ever saw and comparing it to this, I actually think it may look a hell of a lot better now.
