Wow at some games like Yoshi Island 2, Mario Kart, and Animal Crossing.
35 PS2 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Capcom 1/25/2007 412,100 Is this pretty good for a western game in Japan?
Also good numbers for Apollo Justice.

you are saying that somewhere between #51 and #100 is ONE more PS3 game and that's it for PS3 games? that's all that made it to the top 100 list?

That's abysmal, in quantity I mean.

assuming number 100 is around 120k. That's terrible, that only 4 GAMES in your platform passed that number in a whole year.

Its more than that. Resistance, Gundam Crossfire, Ridge Racer 7 and Winning Eleven 11 did over 120k. I dont think its unlikely that Bladestorm has done 120k by now as well, and GT5P will also hit 120k (maybe it already has including the PSN downloads). If there is any "consolation", a fair amount of these games are 3rd party ;)

Halo, CoD4, AC, Galaxy, both Pokemon games, Madden, Wii Play, Guitar Hero

That's 9 (8 if you count Pokemon together) off the top of my head, dunno what else...

It's not noted in the article, but the period this covers should be from January 1, 2007 through December 30, 2007.

I wonder how much Monster Hunter 3 is going sell on Wii? Is it going to be a pokemon --does great on handhelds, so-so on consoles, or is it going to sell a lot?

MP8 is at 1.4 million so far in the US. All legit NPD data.

Also GH2 360, Gears is close on a million YTD, Bioshock has a slim chance if December numbers are good.

Oh, good. With this, I guess we can finally and decisively shut down all the arguments that Kirby Squeak Squad just might not have hit one million, that it just might have magically stopped at ~995k and never crossed over and shouldn't be counted as a DS million seller.

Anyone got sales data for console MH games? If I recall correctly they've never sold anywhere nearly as good as the portable versions.

My expectations are for Monster Hunter 3 to do about as well as Monster Hunter 1 for its first week, as the Monster Hunter userbase migrates over. My LTD expectations would be between MH1 and MH2, though.

Resistance, Gundam Crossfire and Ridge Race 7 are all launch games though, and it's probably safe to say that at least half of those sales occured in 2006, which is not counted in this list. So that leaves only WE11, Baldestorm and GT5P.

Nintendogs? (combined SKUs). Never made the top 10s this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if you added up the SKUs each month they would be in the 50K-100K range...plus those holiday bundles sold like hotcakes (though I don't know if bundles count).

Or are we just talking about games released in 2007?

The first million-seller of the year... Burning Crusade. It had first day sales comparable to Halo.

Bladestorm was at 104K when it dropped out of the Top 30. By the end of the year, GT5P was ~158K and WE11 was > 211K. Since we know there's only one additional game for the PS3 in the Top 100, #100 must be > 158K, and WE11 is the fourth PS3 game in the list.

Japan-gamecharts.com and this thread have Bladestorm at 111.666. It says that this number is through Nov 11/07.
