Didn't know this was hitting PC

As far as I know, this is the only way to play PS2 on the PC.

Yep, Shooter 2 never got a standalone PC release.

Yes! Brilliant.

Pixeljunk Shooter 1 is a great game, and I have yet to play PJ2.

Definitely a must buy.

does this have the slightly annoying 'updated' graphics? although it is a good price so might double dip for the convenience of playing on pc

And worse music. Sadly.

The original pixeljunk shooter soundtrack, which is absolutely fantastic, is nowhere to be seen in ultimate.

im only getting 35 percent off for now...

also apparently this uses your PixelJunk Shooter 1 save, which is cool since I havent finished it yet

According to the Steam page, you can play with either the updated or the classic graphics.

I bought Shooter along with Monsters Deluxe on a sale. I love Monsters, but still haven't played Shooter. Guess I'll grab Ultimate it with the extra discount and make some time to play it one of these days.

Wow this is a great surprise! Hearing that it has the classic art styles is great too, I never was a huge fan of the new art style. Will definitely pick this up sometime soon.

Warmed to the Ultimate graphics style pretty quickly, and actually prefer that now. Think it looks great.

Just beat it. 16h according to Steam. Apart from a couple of annoying enemy types, it was great fun through the whole game, where levels and mechanics were varied and mixed up.

Recommend it, even at full price.

Wait, does the PS4/Vita versions have the classic art style option and I never noticed?

Either way, I fucking love the Pixel Junk Shooter games, and the more people playing them the better.

Never beat the final boss of the game on PS4, it soured me on the whole game.

Same here but i still found the game to be awesome in general. But yes, after spending quite a lot of time on the game and enjoying myself a lot, i gave up on the final boss (can't remember why exactly... It's been a while) and thus never finishing the game.

Like many other games, the last boss manages to showcase the worst things in the game. In this case, it's that the punishment for failing is a complete reset of the current level, while it also again tries to mix bullet hell shoot'em up instead of just being satisfied with the gravity/puzzle game aspects that it does best.

The boss is manageable, I think it took me 7-8 attempts, but it the least fun part of the game.
