"The Mysterious Curse of the Haunted Castle"
A lady in a palanquin and her guards are trudging down a dirt road when darkness starts in on them. The chief of the guards tells the lady that they should think about finding shelter for the night and she gives the order. It starts to get misty and visibility is shot when an eerie howl comes from in front of them. The Lady named Kayo buy her attendant opens the window to see if anything is wrong when a bright light appears and the the groan gets louder. The pieces of the palanquin are all that remain.
Lady Kayo of the Land of Honey was going to visit her parents in the Land of Candy. This is what Tsunade tells the team of Kiba, Naruto, and Hinata. When she didn't show up they sent a search party...which found her carriage in pieces. They up and dissappeared. Kiba asks if they are to track the Lady down. That's correct. Your nose and Hinata's eyes will be invaluable...and Naruto was available. He takes that about as well as you'd expect, saying that it's not like he brings nothing to the table. Nope, nothing. Good girl Hinata thinks Naruto has a lot to offer. Naruto can always count on her and he asks Hinata to rattle off a few of his better qualities to the 5th, no need to be shy. She starts itching her cheek and thinks about it...for awhile. Naruto grows impatient, it can't be that hard and Shizune laughs while Kiba and Akamaru yawn. Tsunade tells them to zip it and Naruto in another shocking bit of filler continuity asks peevishly if there is anything weird about this mission...like ghost weird. The 5th asks point blank if he is scared of spirits and he admits to being a little scared. Shizune once again laughs and Granny tells him ghouls and ghosts aren't real brah. Kiba asks where the mission is and she replies, Kubisaki pass. Naruto flips out on hearing this. Broken Neck Pass?
Tsunade yells at him. Ghosts ain't real and ninja's aren't afraid of them. Naruto would rather take his chances with the ghosts and all three of them run out of the office, with Hinata closing the door and saying goodbye. Everyday is the same with that kid. Shizune brings up the backstory, the pass is near the former capitial of the previous Land of Necks and that the ruined castle of the Kubisaki clan which met its demise 50 years ago is right around there. Tsunade no sells this info, ruined castles are everywhere and accuses her assistant of having a touch of Naruto's cowardice.
The genin are walking along the path when they come to the sign that points the way to Kubisaki pass. Naruto has a case of the creeps and it starts raining hard so they pick up the pace when Hinata spots a castle. Kiba never heard of one around here and Naruto continues having his bad feeling. The other two hurry in while Naruto makes excuses. Hinata thinks it is impressive while Naruto doesn't want to enter without getting permission first. Kiba thinks he's yellow and Hinata tells him not to worry. The door opens...all on its own. Jinkies! Hinata makes apologies and asks if anyone is home. Kiba points out the light is on and Akamaru goes running off towards the light. Something sure smells good here. It's a warm dinner! Naruto is looking at the painting on the ceiling. One scary looking fella. Hinata thinks it's the master and Kiba interjects that he'd be a feudal lord of this land and would control the surrounding area...but that doesn't make sense as they are right on the boarder. Akamaru is sniffing the food when Kiba yells at him. He can't just help himself and the pup jumps down.
Naruto is following the eyes of the portrait...and the eyes follow him. ZOINKS, Naruto flips out as expected. Kiba admonishes him for scaring them and when Naruto tells him what happened he calls him an idiot. Painting's don't move. Hinata points out that the table is set for seven people, the number of people who went missing! They might be here, let's split up! Naruto is against this, all for one, one for all. Kiba tells him not to be a coward and to do his job. Naruto knows this and calls him a bully for bringing it up...as we get a shot from the POV of the picture. Those eyes did move!
Naruto is alone. He's not cut out for this and can barely go to the bathroom at night alone. He sees a suit of armor and hustles on by it...only to find a hallway with three suits of armor in it...one of which has eyes. He runs away screaming for his teammates. Kiba and Akamaru smell something. A human scent coming from an empty room...which closes as soon as he enters and calls out KIBA in a ghastly voice. He throws a Kunai at a moving shape. Ineffective. It's got a mouth and is coming to eat him.
Hinata finds the library and turns on the light. So many books. She finds a scroll and reads it. Kubisaki castle was raided 50 years ago. It's forces were slaughtered so a few remaining samurai held up here but won't survive the night. Every stone of this castle is stained by his thirst for REVENGENANCE and will devour any man who steps inside. The wall repeats the phrase DEVOUR and starts raining books on her. It's the painting! It's hands escape the border of the painting and shove her against a brick wall...which turns fleshy and devours her. KILL HINATA. DEVOUR HINATA.
Lord Kubisaki's painting finds Naruto next, who throws a paper bomb at the risen ghost. He books it only to find his way stopped by a set of jaws. Another set pops up from where he came and the ground swallows him up. He awakes on the cold stone floor and finds Hinata. He shakes her awake and she has a fairly mild reaction to being touched by him, though she does blush and back away a bit. Akamaru barks and both he and Kiba are alright. Hinata tells them about the scroll and how anyone who enters is eaten alive...which they were. He then trips over a suit of armor, yelling out ZOINKS as he does. (I kid you not, Zoinks.) They ask if he is alright but Naruto looks instead to the armor. This must be the real deal. Naruto flips out and apologizes to the corpse. Hinata says he isn't a Kubisaki, he's an invader. The corpses over there though, are.
They find the armor from the painting and wonder if this is the real ghost of Kubisaki. It starts to melt! Akamaru is barking and the smell is awful. Something isn't right around here as Naruto asks Hinata to use her eyes. The walls are filled with Chakra, but why? Everything is moving...it's almost as if they are alive. Hinata tries the gentle fist to break through. No good. Naruto has seen this before, the inside of the giant toad Pervy Sage summoned. Kiba figures that armor must have been dissolved by stomach acid and Hinata puts together the likely cause. The lord must have summonedSIN a beast so big that it swallowed the place whole. They were gobbled up the moment they entered. Naruto wonders what they ever did to this ghost to have him sic his pet castle on them when the four hear a lady screaming out. It's the Lady of the Land of Honey, they're embedded in the wall. They are here to rescue them but can't seem to break the people out. Kiba says the walls are reverting to flesh and that they have to get out of here. Fang over Fang busts a hole in the ceiling and they jump through.
The castle speaks to them. It is under orders from the Ghost of Kubisaki to DEVOUR anyone who enters, including them. A wave of stomach acid comes for them. Naruto jumps to the ceiling but is thrown off, jumps away from an oncoming wave of acid onto a pillar which opens up with a cloud of gas that knocks him to the floor. Hinata rushes over crying Naruto as tentacles burst through the door coming straight for the youngsters. A set also comes for Akamaru and Kiba who dodge. DEVOUR. Naruto aks how they are going to get out. Hinata doesn't know. Kiba says if it is a summon then there should be a contract, all while fighting off a tentacle. Naruto throws a paper bomb at the source of the tentacles and Naruto yells to Hinata, who agrees and uses her Byakugan.
It's in the ceiling of the castle tower. How will they get up there...when suddenly the walls retract and a man steps in. It's the Ghost of Kubisaki. Naruto isn't falling for it again and calls it another illusion of the castle. Hinata says it is different and it does have a pale blue outline. It walks by the kids and up the stairs, looking back at them. Naruto wonders what that means and Kiba thinks he wants them to follow, which they do reluctantly and at a distance. Where did he go? Who cares, it's the scroll. The walls are moving as Naruto opens the scroll.
Hinata notices the true form of the animal written on the scroll. Kiba wants them to hurry up as acid drips on him from the ceiling but Naruto doesn't want to send it back while being inside of it. There's no choice though so he rips up the scroll. It hasn't disappeared yet and the castle shakes, sending Naruto into the wall. His kunai punctures it and acid spills forth. Hinata with her magic eyes on tells him just a little more in that spot so clone summoned, Rasengan formed, wall blown open. It sucks them all out and the desummoning pop is heard as Naruto lands face first, worrying Hinata.
The castle isn't giving up the ghost easily though. Oh wait yes it did. The people are fine. Kiba thinks the man died resenting the people who sacked the castle but Hinata brings up that the ghost saved them in the end. Naruto thinks this means the grudge is over but Kiba guesses that after fifty years of service the man wanted to give the beast a rest. Naruto adds to this saying the ghost probably needed physical help to free it and Hinata says it is finally home as the episode ends!

On the overall power list schadenfreude is still number one he has like 3000 more post then me so I probably won't pass him until fall and that's only under the assumption my post count stays as high as it has and his stays below the 1000's for the next few threads
No, future plot liquid will save Bass in the end and he'll still be the most powerful poster in the Toonami universe.

Yeah but he's the only Z-Fighter besides Chaozu were if you were to remove him completely, it wouldn't affect the plot at all.
22nd Budokai? Goku and co. were going to enter anyway
Piccolo Daimao? Doesn't do anything relevant here
23rd Budokai? Beats up Cyborg Tao, but Goku could have done it.
Saiyan Arc? Doesn't really do anything except suicide

There's obvious money to be made there and it could get away with US premiere billing as the show has never aired Uncut in the US.
