I still think it looks like fun. Gearbox have some great and some not so great games so hard to trust them blindly but I look forwards to Battleborn.
 
Judging from the footage, this feels like Borderlands with a MOBA skin. The animations, presentation, and general combat look almost identical.

I'll give it a try but I'm not expecting much.
 
Yeah im also going to give this a try because they did make a game with awesome gameplay in Borderlands, maybe they will pull it off and this will be addicting.
 
A little disappointed, looks so bland compared to Overwatch. Something about the shooting/melee just looks off. I can't even put my finger on it. If the shooting mechanics don't look or feel good in an FPS something's terribly wrong.
 
I'll give it a try simply because it is a Blizzard game and they generally churn out decent gameplay mechanics. But I'm not overly hyped or expecting much from it.
 
It looks like a mod for Borderlands. Defence of the Borderlands: DOTB

Art style is stylized to the ridiculous levels. Overall, the game doesn't look too bad, but it buy to play... Evolve fate incoming: abandonware a month or two after release.
 
Interesting concept but ultimately people will compare this to Borderlands and I don't see Battleborn doing remotely close to that game in terms of sales.

I agree. I really love colour in my games, but this just makes me feel a bit ill.

You're thinking of Overwatch. I know it's hard to keep track of all of these games with their ultra-memorable titles!
 
This is a great example of characters that are over designed. The art team is trying too hard to make something interesting. It's like a something an art school student would do, as in, they don't know when to stop and experimenting a bit much and straying too far away from convention.

Same. I feel like there are some neat gameplay ideas in there and I want to try it but.. I'm not sure if it's something I'll stick with TBH. The combat didn't look particularly exciting in those videos either.
 
Count me as someone who really likes the art style and character designs ;_;

I've never been big on Borderlands but after playing a lot of Dota and recently understanding the fun of playing Destiny with friends, I feel like this is right up my alley. I love all the unique first person animations between the characters and the variety between their looks and play styles. Can't wait to see more footage come out of E3!
 
The first person animations are fantastic. So varied and different. Characters seem cool too. I dunno if I can get into it though, would love to play a beta (must have PVP too).

Haha! I noticed that too. Watching the videos back to back though....I knew Overwatch looked better but not THAT much better. Even those guys in that first video (GT) were very lukewarm, same thing with the guys in the GameSpot video. It's so weird. I don't like Borderlands but I do like MOBAs and a first person co-op MOBA on console seems like it would be right up my alley. I kind of like the art style and, just like the guys in the GameSpot video, I can't really think of anything wrong with this game but I just can't feel the hype.

I'm afraid that this will bomb harder than Evolve, which wasn't good for Take-Two. I guess I would be more interested if I knew it had split-screen co-op and an actual single-player (as in, not just multiplayer maps with bots). But, I'm not sure if even that would be enough. This is really strange...
