Existentialism
The world's a cold concrete maze
of seagulls and parked cars.
The setting sun, tired of fighting a losing battle,
feigns a smile in my direction
then disappears behind the argent clouds above.
My world gives way to a hundred shades of gray.

Gold Glow
It's kinda strange to see the sky lit up
When its normal source of life sleeps
To have the empty, barren night
Cast it's glow on the cloud hanging low
It's easy to think that this little burg dies
And rises like the sun so gone;
That this place simply goes quiet
And the glowing mist keeps all away
But you just have to look
They're even still excitement beneath the glow
