I can understand if Halo wins; it's a safe bet, you know what you're getting and with the MP Halo will be played long after TLOU is forgotten.

Both are safe bets. Its not like we are really getting out of our safety zone here with most of the choices. Heh.

Soundshapes and P-100 seem to more of the risky choices.

Last of Us did look good and I suspect theres a bit of 'what Xbox game do I chose...HALO4!!'
Surprised Watch Dogs isn't doing better tbh but not surprised the two leading games are PS3/360 exclusives. Not to mention Halo's fan support; and it did look rather good.

Assassins Creed being second on portables however is just rather funny :D
But again thats just cause some people had no interest in 3DS; so there votes all go one place.

Funny?

Best Portable Game:
Paper Mario: Sticker Star - 35
Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation - 26
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon – 13
Sound Shapes - 12
Soul Sacrifice – 10
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate – 6
Fire Emblem: Awakening – 4
Infinity Blade: Dungeons - 2
New Super Mario Bros. 2 - 2
Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion - 1
LittleBigPlanet Vita – 1
Guacamelee - 1
Gravity Daze - 1
Persona 4 Golden – 1
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F - 1

Sound Shapes and Soul Sacrifice both have a double digit votes, therefore Vita has 3 titles with double digit votes compared to 2 3DS titles. Also 3DS is splitting votes between 6 titles and Vita is splitting votes between 8 titles further proving people are dumping votes to one game. And, adding up total votes that have been tallied thus far 3DS titles combine to 60 votes, and adding up all Vita votes you get 53 total votes, meaning even if each console had put every vote behind one title they would still be close. Maybe, just maybe people beyond just Vita owners and maybe even owners of both like AC3: Liberation because they think it is a great looking game. Not sure why that is a difficult concept.

EDIT: Same could be said for Halo 4, for many that is there best game. You can't tell them otherwise. Don't think it is fair to say people are voting down party lines so to speak. Though inevitably it does happen. I Just took issue with the claim you said people were dumping votes to AC3 Liberation because it wasn't a 3DS title.

Halo 4 has the most votes.....that sounds like BS.....I will not vote until I play each game.

This isn't a contest for Game of the Year, it's simply for Game of the Show (E3). All you have to do is vote for a game that you thought LOOKED the best, in whatever category you want.

The only thing I find suspect is Watch_Dogs and Star Wars 1313 stealing votes away from genuine PC games, these are essentially glorified tech demos and do not belong in the category; especially in a year with fantastic PC specific exclusives like SimCity, PlanetSide 2, and XCOM.

There's certainly no close calls, when it comes to Playstation 3 or Xbox 360. Just which one, takes game of the show. Interesting.

Didn't expect so many people to vote for Halo 4, for overall best. A pleasant surprise.

No, Watch_Dogs is a genuine game. Why would it not be?

An important distinction. Halo 4 could turn out to be terrible. But boy did it show well at E3.

Best Xbox 360 Game: Forza Horizon - Sensation over simulation? An atmospheric, open-world Outrun? *applause*

Best PlayStation 3 Game: LittleBigPlanet Karting - I swear—I hardly ever play racing games.

Best Wii U Game: Project P-100 - *see below*

Best Portable Game: Gravity Rush - For reasons similar to P-100.

Best PC Game: Watch_Dogs - Looked like the work of a confident team.

Best Tech: Wii U - The only tech I'm interested in right now.

Game of the Show: Project P-100 - Too many games are abandoning what makes the medium fun and unique: the thrill of having control over something impossible—something organic and dynamic and exciting and alive. Most of the "blockbusters" showing at this year's debacle are trying to excite the player with theatrics, and in return, they're forgetting about the emotion that comes from being able to control something. They're forgetting to make their games tactile and elastic; to make you FEEL IT when you PLAY IT, and to let you DO IT—not just SEE IT.

This seems to be a game for people who crave stimulus and joy—people tired of all the dour malarkey spilling nervously from so many studios. I'll be buying a Wii U for P-100, because games like it are stupidly rare (and if people continue to remain ignorant of thoughtful and well-expressed game design, then they'll someday go extinct altogether).

Game of the Show:
Dishonored. I like the setting and I enjoy games that let you choose if you want to kill enemies or sneak your way through levels.

Best PlayStation 3 Game:
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Looks like it will be a solid entry in the Sly series, and I really like the Sly series. Not many great 3D platformers around.

Best Xbox 360 Game:
Sleeping Dogs. It might not have the best tech and it might have jankiness here and there, but it looks so much fun. I like open world games and love Asian action flicks. Game is already pre-ordered.

Best PC Game:
Darksiders II. I enjoyed the setting of the first game, but thought the rest was just ok. The sequel seems to improve on most things that annoyed me. Already pre-ordered.

Best Portable Game:
Fire Emblem: Awakening. I love SRPGs, and this looks right up my alley.

Best Tech:
Watch Dogs. It was a tie between Watch Dogs and Star Wars 1313, but I had to choose one game. Watch Dogs didn't have as much crazy stuff going on as Star Wars 1313, but I was impressed because it is supposed to be open world. A very good looking open world game it will be.

(I wanted to nominate South Park, since I'm getting it day 1, but we didn't get enough gameplay footage.)

Summary: The Last Of Us has had a tremendous comeback in this wave of votes and Master Chief's armor looks a little worse for wear. Halo fans will need to rally the troops in order to make a resurgence!

Dishonered also had an extremely good showing in this last batch, skyrocketing all the way to the number five spot in Game of the Show!

Hope you guys are enjoying the contest and the logo should be coming later tonight for the awards.

UPDATE #7 WILL NOT BE TILL TOMORROW

It's funny that you're criticizing the people who voted for Halo 4 while you voted for Star Wars 1313 for game of the show, that was definitely a new and innovative game right there...never seen a game like that before!

I also voted for Halo 4 as best Xbox game. Not criticizing people for it, just based on all of the posts during the conferences and all of the threads bashing E3 for being so bland and predictable that the most predictable of all predictable games is at the top.

Not criticizing, just an observation. Nothing is more fascinating than the psychology and group dynamics of E3 gaf.

I think maybe its reflective of those complaints. Hopefully the huge response seem at E3 to games like Watch Dogs and The Last of Us shows publishers you can generate more buzz with a new IP than a 2nd or 3rd sequel.

I love new IP's also but I think had Ubisoft not shown any of Assassin's Creed 3 before this show they would have won a lot more votes taking much more media awards also.

I won't vote till I'm home and can watch videos of games I didn't get to see behind doors, but curious why no Publisher of the Show category?

Yeah, you're probably right. It seems like all of those IP's have managed to gather enough hype to lead them to some quality sales. TLoU and Watch Dogs are especially off the scales in terms of hype right now. And hopefully games like TLoU, Beyond and Dishonored will show publishers that it is possible to launch new IP's late in console cycles.
