I don't remember the Witcher looking so sharp. Maybe I should go back with this texture mod and actually finish it this time.

its an excecutable but for some strange reason it puts the Overide file in program file (x86) by default. while it should be in the data folder in the games directory ( could be because i have the steam version)
When I first played this game, I could barely play it at 2880x1620 with crappy SGSSAA that destroyed shadows and caused white outlines. Nice to see it at a proper resolution

I always wondered why PS1 games had distorted 3D objects like that. Tesselation ?
THANK YOU for that... I've been wondering about that texture thing for years. I didn't care at the time, but now, whenever I play a PS1 game or see a PS1 video, it drives me batty seeing the textures jump around like that. Makes perfect sense now that I know why it's doing it.The PS1 had no z-buffer leading to polygons clipping anytime the camera moved or an object animates. It also used affine texture mapping causing textures to warp as well.
