I actually remember doing this with red/blue because I wanted to minimize the amount of levels in cocoon form. So I let it evolve at 9 so I only have to train the cocoon for 1 level until it evolves again.

So... Charizard has two different mega evolutions depending on version.

X is black/blue.
Y is the MegaEvolution we have seen before...!

This means Blastoise and venusaur will also have another form. Maybe other Pokemon will have 2 different mega's as well.
