Why would more character choice be something that bothers you? I don't get that.

Harder to learn all the caveats for all of the characters (both when playing as or playing against); also increases the chances that the roster will be unbalanced.
I understand the perspective, though I rarely agree since I'm not a pro at fighting games or anything.

Yeah I'm feeling that way with Mortal Kombat X coming up... the roster is only going to be around 30- but with 3 variations per character. That's 90 movesets I have to memorize... and knowing depending on how the character's costume looks they could be a zoner, rushdown, etc... feels like I'm going to lose a lot just based on unfamiliarity alone.
The general moveset between variations is the same. It's specific special moves that differ between them. In fact the total number of moves per character is probably not all that different from mk9. They've just divided up some moves between variations.
As for tekken, I think it's for the best they bring down the number of characters, especially duplicates. TTT2 roster was uselessly bloated in some cases. Tiger Eddy Christie all included: why...
Oh trust me I'm far from a pro and my best days are well behind me now. That still won't stop me from trying, but I'm not going to be doing much grinding for muscle memory in training mode either. The more I can rely on fundamentals and pick up intricacies along the way the better.
But I can respect those that want more in the name of choice.

Just like Jun and Unknown then. I hope Kazumi doesn't pull off insane combos and use full bar depleting attacks like Jun/Unknown did though.
I think we all know how the new thread will end up so I'd rather just keep it here.

kazumi looks young enough to be kazuya's daughter.
Professionals who mastered side stepping may have no problems with it. But I'm like average at best. Not saying that I have a very hard time beating her (I don't lose the match most of the time on Very Hard) but that combo is a little bit exaggerated IMO. Then again, I haven't touched TTT2 for many months now, so who knows...

Generally how long do they space out time release characters?
I'd like to see what that budget is in relation to T6, or TTT2.
I think some of you are missing my point or selectively reading the posts i'm making here...
I am not, i repeat, i am not saying T7 looks bad, so i don't know why your asking me to bring out list wars of graphics. It actually looks pretty good.
What i'm saying is that those devs in charge of this game are obviously not trying to make a graphical powehouse based on their priorities for development.
Is that an acceptable statement?

Just kidding. In all seriousness, I think the reason video game characters don't age much is because the developers want to keep the 'identity' of the character.

I dunno about it being a thing in video games; kate in Uc3 obviously looked old. it's just a thing about tekken, and it's not only the female characters. you said yourself and even I said befor, kazuya looks like jin's older brother. paul doesn't look like he's in his 50s. heihachi's the only character that looks appropriate.
Paul, Law, Lei, Lee etc. are all 47/48. They just have that movie star thing going.
