A: Nippon Ichi Software America (NISA) already has Operation Abyss secured and set to be released in June 5th 2015. So with that in mind I would like to imagine that they also have this game locked down too as Operation Abyss & Babel are a set as the story continues on from Abyss to Babel.Q: Any word on localization for the West?
#1:
A: Its a first person dungeon crawler, Operation Abyss was a remake of Generation Xth Code Hazard & Code Break. Operation Babel is a remake of Generation Xth Code Realize.Q: What type of game is this?
#2:
A: The game itself should not be so daunting that those new to the DRPG genre would not be able to play, as it foregoes a lot of the more hardcore mechanics. Not to say that the game will not have some portions that may be difficult, but overall it should be an enjoyable experience for those who like DRPGs or want to check out the genre. Gameplay mechnaics are generally fairly straightforward also which helps.Q: Im new to dungeon crawlers should I buy this game?
#3:
A: Yep the physical version should work just fine. Digital also as long as you have a JPSN account to download with. Though you will need JPSN point cards also if you do plan on doing a digital purchase through the JPSN.Q: Does this work on a "Western" VITA?
#4:
A: Not exactly, but at the same time it would help or else you wouldnt know what the skill / item effects are. On top of missing out on the story. But if you just want a dungeon crawler to play by all means import away. If there are similar puzzles like Operation Abyss, there might be some which would be difficult to solve without Japanese knowledge, but not impossible.Q: Do I need to know Japanese to play this game?
#5:
A: Yes its connected to the XTH series, which also includes Cross Blood. As mentioned in Question #1, the game is a remake of the Generation Xth trilogy which includes Code Hazard / Code Break / Code Realize. The first 2 titles Code Hazard and Code Break make up Operation Abyss and Code Realize is Operation Babel. Labyrinth Cross Blood is the continuation of the world / series which takes place after the events of the original trilogy.Q: Does this game have any connection to other series?
