Imageepoch is officially dead - bankruptcy proceedings announced

Ayo they made that Black Rock Shooter game for PSP, hope this won't mean it'd get delisted >_>;

Only bad game I know from them was Time and Eternity, I'm guessing there'll be a similar situation to like what happened to Atlus a few years ago?

B... but my Luminus Arc? Wasn't there a Vita version announced a few weeks ago?

I think it's been over a year since it was announced and it was always being done by someone else, I can't remember if it was internally at Marvelous or some outside studio but imageepoch was never involved with Luminous Arc Infinity

Some other interesting details in the article:

In 2011 they made 1.751 billion yen (~17.5 million) in annual income, but by 2013, their annual income had fallen to 410 million yen (~4.1 million), and they were already in debt because of game development costs and missing sales targets. The situation did not improve and they ceased operations in November 2014.

Sucks to hear but unsurprising. The writing has been on the wall since the CEO went missing.

already been delisted in japan
buy now in the west or forever hold your hirai bucks

I would if I could purchase it in Canada. Seriously why didn't the game get released here?

That's developed by a different studio called Felistella.

I think BRS is their only self-published PS game to leave Japan.

Music licensing issues. It's one of the very few games to have issues in Canada.

Any quick Black Rock Shooter impressions?

It was a shitty cashin on an awesome IP that never should have been touched by a company like Imageepoch.

The only thing good about it was the character models for the BRS characters in the game.

Gameplay has got to be the most halfassed mess I have ever seen.

If there was one literally one situation where "PLATINUM GAMES" was the right answer, the BRS series was most def it.

I still have a 2nd unopened LE sitting not 10 feet from my desk also.

Considering what hot garbage Last Promise was thats a good thing. Though I heard Sol Trigger was not too bad. Never picked it up though. In some ways reminded me of Last Ranker

Fate/Extra and Black Rock Shooter were two of my favorite PSP games, they developed a lot of great PSP titles. Hopefully, some of them will get fan-translated sooner rather than later (I'm looking at you, Sol Trigger and Last Ranker).

Well since you hate it so much, I'll be happy to take it.

It was an interesting mix of shooter and RPG. I liked it, especially the atmosphere and music(Shinji Hosoe!).

BRS IS STILL ON THE STORE.

Last chance, probably.

I mean games like Black Rock Shooter on PSN in the U.S. should be fine right because it was published by NISA and not Image like it was in Japan? or is that not how this stuff is handled because I really don't know how complicated it gets,

I have a feeling it's going to be gone very soon. Look at what happened to the R-Type games.
