While browsing release lists for 2016 I stumbled upon Professional Lumberjack 2016. Thanks to Bandai Namco, the game is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PS3 for the very first time. The game will be released next to the obligatory PC version on 26th February 2016. A WiiU version is also in development, but no release date yet.

Enjoy the beauty of woodcutting in this trailer:

Waiting for the careers advisor bundle where i tell a random dude in a room I want to be an astronaut before my dreams are crushed and I get told to be more realistic and choose between a lumberjack, a farmer and a themepark designer.

I like how the trailer is all "Look at this pristine nature - which you are about to completely cut to smithereens! Rock on!"

I honestly can't tell if this is supposed to be a parody or not.

When I was at school we went to a forest for 3 weeks and worked with the forester (best school camp ever!) and the forester told us that the dumbest thing to do in a forest is cutting trees like you do in this game, you should always start by cutting a nick into one side of the tree and then cut it from the other side to ensure it collapses in the right direction. So is this secretly suicide simulator?

And this is the company that won't release physical Digimon PS4 in all European countries..

This also won't be released in all EU countries :)
So as a Lumberjack enthusiast in southern Europe you'll have to import :(

BANDAI NAMCO Games Europe will distribute these 3 titles on a worldwide scale digitally, but also at retail in the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Nordic and Netherlands territories.
It seems like Bandai Namco's new strategy is "release everything everywhere".

I think it makes sense.

God Eater on PC and Professional Lumberjack on Wii U. Exciting times.

But the simulation isn't even accurate. Where's the wedge cut?

Looks like something first time programmers do in Unity honestly ... Come on at least tree falling pyhsics should be more realistic :)
