People wearing fake tails

What the hell.

Is this some kind of sign? Am I just often near furries? I mean I get that I probably am when I'm at the ren faire or something, but the other day I was at the zoo and saw half a dozen. I also see them at the mall, at target, etc.

Id say wearing a fake tail does not necessarily make you a furry, imo. At least I know that alot of people wear them just for the sake of wearing them.

Why people wear them? No idea.

There's also plenty of people that wear animal ears etc.

Kids wearing something to feel like they stand out at an age where they're desperately trying to form an identity. *shrug*

There's a local guy here who does this. I think he's mentally challenged and I always see him riding around on his bicycle with a Cabbage Patch Kid doll in his backpack and a big fox tail poking out of the seat of his pants.

Furries or anime lovers, not sure which is worse

Did you check the shop at the zoo? They could just be selling tails, wouldn't surprise me.

I don't know about any of the other places tho.

It's childish to me OP. Idc if people judge me for it but every time I see a random person wearing it not as a fashion accessory but literally like a tail.... I just think it's childish.

The Fox tail clip on was a 2012 fashion trend for a little while and phased out. It's not cute anymore... At all.

because we are in an age where people can express themselves and should not be judged....Shame I still love a good judging. Proper mentals

Girl in my Psychology class wore one.
And I'll seen them around town as well.

I bet she was in that psychology class to better understand what was wrong with her!

I feel like I need to say "not that there's anything wrong with that". what an age we live in.

Couple kids at a school I work in do it. I took it as some sort of group identity.

They're also all way into Anime. Talking about choreographing anime fight sequences at lunch.

Hope I get to live to see the day when transgenics r&d is advanced enough for these things to be available commercially, and have people run around with real tails and fox ears and whatever.

Insomnia, in Columbus Ohio. Back when I went to college there was girl that looked like Kristen Kreuk who worked there and had a fox tail. Left quite an impression.

This. It's way worse when it's a mid twenty something though

I saw some dude at a patio bar wearing one and some overalls and he had a gray hound that he kept giving beer to. I've never disliked someone so much without talking to them
