Reclaim the Super Happy Tree to restore happiness!

Baby Bowser has taken the Super Happy Tree and put a spell on Yoshi Island. It's up to a few remaining Yoshis to restore everything to its rightful place as they run, ground-pound, flutter-jump, throw eggs, and traverse a colorful and crafted storybook-looking world. Complete a course in Story Mode, and then best your high score in Trial Mode!

Forget the haters, I loved this game.

In no way was it perfect, but it was so heartfelt and adorable.

Damn right

The only Yoshi's Island we're ever gonna get is the GBA one.

I always wanted to give this game a second chance but not at the Nintendo prices. I would hope that the NX fixes the pricing for the Virtual Console, but I know better.

Is there a licensing issue with the snes one or something?

Still have no idea why you had to play the game a lot to play every level, was kinda dumb

why not just make it like yoshis island and go left to right , not 1 per world
I never played every single level in that game

Yoshi's Story always in the shadow of Yoshi's Island. Funny thing about Yoshi's Island is they wanted a game young children could enjoy (which is probably why it has regenerating health...eat your heart out CoD) and well I feel they ramped up this up quite a bit with Yoshi's Story for better or for worse.

Some speculate that they may not be able to legally emulate the Super FX2 chip but that's never been confirmed.

They could of course just port the game but, hey, this is Nintendo.
Isn't that what the GBA version is?

One of my favorite games when I was little. I remember losing it and it feeling like the end of the world. I also remember being really fond of the secret Yoshi colors.

But I hear it wasn't as good as my child brain believed. Maybe I'll give it a go.

Oh my word, what a hit. I love this game. I have it in Wii VC but will probably pick up the U version also.

P.S. Haters gonna hate. Yoshiiiiii!

I had the theme song stuck in my head all weekend for NO REASON. Haven't played this game since launch.

I will buy this and play it on Wii U :)

I'll never forget the day I got this game. I saw the box art and was SUPER excited! My parents shelled out the $70 for the game, and I beat it in one sitting.
I want to say 2 hours later :/

The song and the agony is brought is burned into my head.

I often feel like I'm the only person who sincerely loves this game. The joyful tone, storybook aesthetic (and denim), and the fruit gimmick just clicked with me. Not as good as Island, but still one of my favorite platformers, despite how easy it is. I still play it every few months, and Poochy and Nippy is one of my traditional wintertime levels to play through.

After playing and loving Woolly World, I'm curious to go back and give this a try again. I remember pretty much hating it back in the day though. :(

I personally feel that Woolly World is a superior game.

I loved Yoshi's story back in the day, but I don't think I would go back now that WW is on my console.

Hard to follow Yoshi's Island.

My beef was that it barely had content. I beat the game in a few hours thinking, "That's it?"

I love this game. I didn't even know it was hated by so many.
Preach the truth, brothers!

The levels in this game are charming. That big mama cheep cheep level is awesome.

It is a short game but it's also important to remember that there are a lot of alternate levels that open up depending upon your performance. So there is quite a bit of replay value to the game.
