Speculation: Monolith Productions (Shadow of Mordor) making an NX game?

So Warner Bros. posted a job listing looking for a QA Manager at Monolith Productions, the studio behind Shadow of Mordor.

Now that wouldn't be really of note, until you read the requirements.

Knowledge of certification standards for Microsoft (TCR compliance), Sony (TRC compliance), or Nintendo (Lot Check).

The only thing Monolith Productions has EVER done for a Nintendo platform was a port of Tron 2.0 for the Gameboy Advance in 2003, so 13 years ago.

So either Monolith is looking into making a game that would appear on the NX (let's face it, at this point there's no way they would do a game for the Wii U and I doubt they'd do one for 3DS.) Or they are simply covering all their bases, even for a company they haven't worked with in 13 years.

I don't have much experience with Human Resources within Game Studio, so I don't know if mentioned the compliance process of all Big 3 is just regular standards or not.

Their next game will probably be released on Nintendo NX as well as PC/PS4/XB1. I doubt it would be an exclusive.

I think a port of whatever they're doing might be likely. Western devs really like to do that out the gate for Nintendo.

Hoping its true but it's likely that Nintendo lot check experience is a qualification they accept for the job posting and doesn't necessarily indicate they're making an nx game.

Meaningless covering of all bases. Why wouldn't you want to hire someone who has experience with all three platform procedures in case you do something. Doesn't mean they are actually doing something for it now.

If true, best guess would be a port of the rumored Shadow of Mordor sequel. Doubt that WB would make a game with a higher budget exclusive for a Nintendo console.

Although, if it is said sequel, then it could mean that a possible NX port won't be a late port made by a porting dev, but inhouse at the same time as the other versions.

That alone, would be one huge step forward ... if true.

Why are y'all talking about exclusives? Read the damn thing, it mentions all three cert processes lol.

Threadworthy?
If they wanted a Sony, MS or Nintendo TRC specialist they would advertise for a specific one or one of each. It seems they don't care where the previous experience was as long as it's there.

In all honesty, the vacancy mentions knowledge of certification standard for MS, Sony, 'OR' Nintendo. It doesn't say AND.

Wonder what to make of that.

I just found it weird to mention Nintendo when you have only worked with them once in your entire history and that was 13 years ago.

But, maybe with a new console coming, they just want to be sure they are prepared in case they do want to do something for the NX.

They all do the similar things but the standards vary across companies and systems, and obviously nobody has NX lot check experience yet. Or do they?

I think best thing would be to look back at previous recruitment if possible, If Nintendo is a new addition I guess it's significant.

I wasn't a fan of Shadows of Mordor, but it would be cool if their next game makes it out on all systems...including the NX. Though, not sure why they'd need someone who knew about Nintendo's lot check procedure if they weren't going to do something with it. Even so, Warner Bros. didn't seem to have any problem putting games on the Wii U at least in it's early life.
