Medabots RPG developer Delta-Arts shuts down

The studio ceased operations last month after being in business for 10 years. They developed every mainline Medarot/Medabots RPG on the DS/3DS since 2010. Their only release to make it out in English was the poorly received Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle. Their last known project was Medarot/Medabots 9, which shipped on 3DS in Japan last December.

Before the vultures pick at Girls Mission, they had no direct involvement with that game. Its sales weren't all that off from DA's last mainline entry anyway.

there it is. sounds like they targeted a diminishing audience that couldn't keep them afloat. it seems in the japanese industry you need to do business internationally or pursue mobile revenue for stability. it's an unfortunate situation

Since Rocket Company developed Medabots: Girls Mission,Delta-Arts they basically had their main IP taken from them.
Going forward, we'll probably see Rocket Company taking over the Medabot IP from now on.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
The game looked and sold like shit for over a decade...kinda shocked they kept the house running for long as they did. Hope the devs land on their feet.

Good to know that the series will be in good hands.

Girls Mission is heavily based upon (as in, it borders re-skin status) Medarot Dual, which was developed by Jupiter in 2013. Delta-Arts only did the mainline RPGs and not the spinoffs.

Rocket Company owned 39% of Delta-Arts, so it would be a bit weird for them to let the studio close and still make new games.

Following Deta-Arts' closure, the publisher of the games will be dissolved come July. Rocket Company's parent company Imagineer will now publish games directly. The move comes as the company plans on releasing fewer games for dedicated consoles, instead focusing on the mobile market. Imagineer will now control the Medabots IP again.
