It's sort of like a hat or hairpiece. Yall don't know jack shit about toads, I'm an expert. It actually has to do with their religion so much like a kippah worn by the Jewish folk. Toadism is very strong and probably biggest religion within the Marioverse. That's why some toad peoples will take it off and others don't.
