First of all, the production was sublime. Beg For Mercy, Hunger for More, Straight Outta Cashville, that shitty Yayo album, Get Rich, The Documentary. All among the best produced albums of the 2000s.
Secondly, besides Yayo, they were all fine rappers, some finer than others (Young Buck >>>>). Sure, they didn't say much, but who gives a shit? This is gangsta rap. It's all about guns and money and women and drugs, and they did it really well. They sounded good over that fantastic production and in the end, isn't that what matters?
