From ign article, posted today.

It quotes from the Bethesda community blog:

"While we will continue to work with media, streamers, and YouTubers to support their coverage – both before and after release – we want everyone, including those in the media, to experience our games at the same time."

While this seems crazy, they seem to think it will work. It is in line with what they did with DOOM. Searched, didn't find a thread on this, give me an awesome tag if wrong.

I guess this is the safest policy to ensure that A. they can get day one patches out in time and not have a game get screwed over by an impression only those without fast internet access are going to have, and B. to obfuscate which games are likely duds; when you're doing this for ALL games then you never know if that game's doomed to be a dud or is going to be one of the greatest of all time!

Does this just mean review copies? What about early impression videos from youtubers? Do those go under "review copies"?

Never purchased a Bethesda game and will continue to not do so until reviews say otherwise.
