Is this the update that makes the UI lag less?
Any lag is the same in this update as it was in the previous one.
That's not to say I found the previous one particularly laggy anyway.

Neither of us can prove it, so who knows, but, for me, there was no decrease in any perceived lag across the previews (that's not to say I felt the UI was particularly laggy anyway).

the only reason i noticed it is cause it got so much smoother i had to look it up and people were experiencing the same thing.
im guessing not putting SPEED IMPROVEMENTS in the release notes is MS admitting how slow it was to begin with, but with this update, which youll notice adds a LOTTTTTTTTT more visuals especially in the "Home" section and even when you press start on a game, it still got way, way, way faster
I want to see comparison videos.

Weird thing. This has always been like this for me.
Maybe internet does have a great effect on it. Dont know.
This adds a new graphic and sound effect for any rare achievements you get. Rare is qualified as 10% or less. It's a really wonderful addition. I actually forgot that it was a preview thing, you guys have been missing out.
And yes, this is the update that makes the UI considerably faster. Like, not just enough to be noticeable, but faster than the PS4 UI in a lot of areas in my experience. Some of it is going to depend on your internet connection though, as it still needs to load in images.
Lag until now hasnt been the same to all people. Probably brcause it has to do with internet connection.
My theory is that people who didnt have any problems already wont notice a difference but hopefuly thinks have improved for those who did.
Without a comparison against someone who says they have a slow and laggy UI, it's hard to compare, my UI has been like that for some time (definitely before this recent round of previews).
Good point, maybe due to DNS settings? I've been using modified DNS settings for some time.

Every time I watch that video I ask myself... why am I not playing FH3 right now?
As someone who also never really had a problem, trust me, you'll feel the difference.

Same here. Also, no Skate 3 up despite my XB360 dashboard ad stating otherwise, heh. I assume both will be up shortly.
I believe they roll out in stages.
I keep forgetting that it has only been out for us in the preview program. This update is really cool with the addition of clubs, and rarity. I really like seeing getting those less than 1% achievements on Xbox.
The clubs on the other hand are great. I have met so many other resident evil fans who share fun clips. The Lfg is pretty good too( not sure if this is out yet) I was using it for a while to help sherpa raids in destiny for wraith of the machine. It is pretty quick and easy using the #
Edit: I did notice the console doing that dashboard soft reset where you try to quickly go to the dashboard and slide to friends and it freezes. But that hasn't happened in a week or so, so I'm sure my console stealth updated when I was away just something I thought I would mention. Other than that it is considerable faster

Steam has showed what percentage of people have what achievements for years, it's actually kinda sad it took Xbox this long to add a feature like that.
better late than never!
I think this was a genuine question, because they improved the responsiveness of the UI a few weeks ago in the preview update. This update definitely should make things feel slightly snappier.

I tried a couple times for Gears when my friends weren't online and it just seemed very underutilised. Makes sense that it was only preview players in it.
Also the rare achievement unlocking thing is baller as hell.

I got sick of it a month ago and requested a move on Twitter to the guy who does that. Day later i was in 1610 haha.
