I'm fairly certain even Xbox One had that, you could change the color profile for system UI level stuff and it reflects on all the menu items and pop-ups like the achievement or online notifications.
I like this. Didn't realise I had 1000 gd indiana jones. Doing the dlc and will get all those too. What a game. I remember the golden era of achievements.
They should go back to the achievement tiered system on the 360, with rewards. They would probably need to change the gamerscore a needed compared to what they had it with the 360. Could add a discount reward, multiplier bonus for Xbox rewards, Xbox gift card, perks, etc. depending what tier you are in.
My system color is blue.......have I betrayed the Green Rats?????
P.S
Hasnt system color customization been a feature since forever even with achievements popping up in said color?
And pretty sure the "rare" achievement diamond with the unique sound has also been a thing since rare achievements became a thing too.
Xbox should have "precious Gemstone" based achievement system in addition to gamerscore. While Sony uses "precious metals" for trophies, like Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Xbox should use Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond.
Is there a point to bothering with Xbox achievements anymore? When they close shop and shut down you'll be hit with the realization that once it's all gone, you achieved nothing.
Xbox achievements should have two changes:
- Simple short popups like the X360 achievements, not an entire animation that stays on screen for several seconds. This is especially annoying when you unlock several in a row.
- An option for notifications to pop without making a sound or with a simple click. Rare achievements are the worst since you get a loud sound which can be very distracting if you're playing a quieter game or you're focused on what's happening on the screen.
