What do you "waste" money on?

Inspired by the other thread about the lady that didn't spend her disposable income for a year. What do you blow your money on that if you did without you could probably save major bank over the course of a year?

With me it's probably food. I don't really blow much money on unneeded things except for food. I'll go a week without spending anything and then blow $60 on sushi. I don't make grocery lists so I end up sometimes buying something I already have and don't need like an extra carton of milk or something and there's no way both are going to be finished.

Easily food. I love food so much. I'm not necessarily going to expensive restaurants or anything, but I'm pretty lax about choosing to buy food when I could buy groceries/make it instead

Books.

The library system sucked where I used to live, but where I live now has a great one, which has helped me save a lot of money, but I still buy a lot.

I'd love to calculate how much I've blown on them over the years...

Video games. I buy them and don't play them. Just don't have the time to power through lengthy single-player games w/ my other commitments.

Car parts and video games. I also used to wash my car in my driveway every week but the self car wash down the street has that spot free rinse water and wax/shine👌 so I've been spending about $50 a month I could be saving by just doing it at home.

Nothing, and I love it. Used to be food, clothes, movies etc. But I find that saving is pretty addicting and I didn't need the volumes of the things I was buying.

If you would have asked me as a kid what i'd spend most of my expendable income on when I reached adulthood, I'd say video games.

Now that I'm 30, I can easily say that I spend most of my extra income on eating out. Not even going out wining and dining with friends. Just... eating out more than I should because I'm too lazy to cook.

Earlier this week I decided to be as frugal as possible when it comes to that though and get serious about eating at home whenever I can. We'll see how it goes.

Magic cards and Magic card accessories! Video games are so much cheaper, but I don't play those too often anymore.

Mostly records and takeout food. Video games sometimes, but not consistently.

Eating out, definitely. My husband and I both love eating out so it's even harder to curb. He works 80 hours a week and eating out is one of his few pleasures in life so I let him enjoy.

I eat a few times a week at fast food places though, and that's one thing I definitely should curb.

Gadgets too. I have a ton of electronic thingamajigs cluttering up my home. An iPad Air 2 and an iPhone, a new laptop. I can't help it--I absolutely detest the cheapo versions of stuff and I value my "digital life" too much :/ I rationalize my purchases by telling myself that I'm buying stuff I intend to last me at least 4-5 years, stuff that I will continue to enjoy during its useful lifespan instead of wanting to throw it into the trash after a year.

Bottled water maybe? I buy cheap stuff so it's not too expensive. My tap water smells and tastes weird so it's worth it to me.

Comics for sure. Not so much the weekly list, but I am constantly buying trades and omnibuses as I'm forever finding new series to read, and its always a case of what to read before i read "x" so its this continuous cycle of me buying old series lol.
Also, food. I really should just be bringing lunch to work but I work in a city and it's just too convenient to go to a cafe and order lunch.

alcohol

edit: Probably would sleep better, have better health, save a lot of money and my posts would be much more coherent here, not to mention much more productive

Videogames, books, and movies are what I waste the most amount of money on. All those games that I've purchased on Steam but have yet to play for more than thirty minutes...D:

I guess music? But I love my album collection so it's not a waste of money.

I wish I wouldn't have bought a couple pairs of expensive shoes, though.
