Title? Director? Actor playing Bond?

Remember that heady time when they said they were going to look into releasing these films more quickly after that 4 year long hiatus between Quantum of Solace and Skyfall? Those were the days.

Hopefully they spend some of the time until then on working out a distribution plan going forward and a production timeline so we don't have to wait five years for each new one.

Well how bout that.

WHO IS WRITING THE FUCKING THING THOUGH

(in before someone inevitably suggests that Martin Campbell, of all the fucking people that could possibly direct a Bond film, is the only one who can do this justice, because aaahahahahahahahahahahaha no.)

I'm actually surprised it's so far out or announced this far out

Does make me think may be Craig again because the truncated shooting for Spectre>release was one of his big headaches... from his press junkets

Yassss! James Bond/007 is how I vicariously experience the life of a secret agent. I hope they took some notes from Kingsman and Matthew Vaughn as that was a better "spy film" than Spectre. Which I still loved. I hated the villain...I couldn't get past the loafer's without socks?

All we know is Craig is reportedly back.

Lets do something a smidge different. Who would you like to see play a Bond villain?

Mahershala Ali
Micheal Shannon
David Tennant
Ben Mendelsohn

"I'd rather ... slash my wrists"

It annoys me how people keep taking that quote out of context. Craig's well known for having a very dry and self-deprecating sense of humour and he's reiterated countless times in past interviews how much he loves playing Bond and how irritated he gets when the press keeps blowing lines like that out of proportion. But that still doesn't stop people painting the guy as a bitter cynic who loathes all things Bond with every fiber of his being.

Guess Daniel Craig wants that $50M. Don't blame him.

Besides, isn't Martin Campbell still serving his director's jail sentence over Green Lantern?

It doesn't matter.

There's people here who basically consider him RAM. All you have to do is open the back of the production, insert him into the slot, and voila: Bond is fixed.

He has a movie with Jackie Chan coming later this year

Yeah, he made a Punished Jackie movie w/ Brosnan, didn't he?

Purvis & Wade, and some other writer who's brought on of course. EON isn't changing things anytime soon.

I was joking, I realized the context.

Full quote is different, yes:

The strongest words came when Craig was asked if he could imagine another film in the role. “Now? I’d rather … slash my wrists,” he replied. “No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

Craig added a slight caveat, saying this would be his view for “at least a year or two”. He added: “I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the fuck knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”

Hey so I heard about this guy named Martin Campbell. I think he might be a good fit for Bond!

I never liked all powerful outlandish masterminds for villains. I liked Sean Bean (Agent 006) from Golden Eye and Le Chiffre from Casino Royale. I hope its in the same vein for new Bond.

From the release:
"Bond 25 will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. "

Every single recent report says Craig is back. They have never announced a new films release date before casting a new Bond if it was the start of a new Bond.

So yes. Craig is back.

this is going to suck. the franchise needed some fresh eyes.

I get the feeling they're going to try and recapture as much as they can from Skyfall and it's not going to work.

If Christopher Nolan were directing, I would expect a new actor. It doesn't seem like his style to go with an established actor who frankly seems cranky about even doing it.

My vote is on Christian Bale. Guy is perfect for psychopath and deranged evil roles. I wanted Blofeld to be him but now I think it'd be much better if they create a character from scratch. Maybe something similar to his Shaft role. Spoiled and bored rich kid who finds enjoyment in organized crime.
