Uncharted still holding steady. Middling legs, but legs none the less.

Wii software...wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. The Wii gamer is not a post-Christmas shopper, clearly. :lol

EA may have been beaten by Activision (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare) for the All Formats Christmas No1 and by Ubisoft (Assassin’s Creed) for the last All Formats No1 of the year, but 2008 starts much like 2007: with FIFA on top.

‘FIFA 08’ moves up one place to No1 in the All Formats Chart (FIFA 07 was No1 in the same week last year), with ‘Assassin’s Creed’ dropping from No1 to No4. Every game in the All Formats Top 40 loses sales with ‘Assassin’s Creed’ falling by the greatest margin – sales down 70%, enabling ‘Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’ (-56%) and ‘The Simpsons Game’ (-58%) to both jump one place to No2 and No3 respectively. Sega’s ‘The Golden Compass’ and THQ’s ‘WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008’ trade places with the film tie-in navigating its way from No10 to No7 (its highest position since launch) while the wrestling game is almost knocked out of the Top 10 ring, down from No7 to No10. All remaining All Formats Top 10 games are non-movers: EA’s ‘Need for Speed: ProStreet’ and Konami’s ‘Pro Evolution Soccer 2008’ holding on to No5 and No6 while the Brain Training sequel and ‘Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock’ are stuck at No8 and No9.

Yuck at the Simpsons game dominating in UK and Ireland.
 
Forza 2 climbed. 360 climbed therefor.

Fifa 08 on the 360 selling good, and no pro evo in sight for that system, which is plain obvious why, pro evo 6 was shit, they felt the burn.

DS is amazing lol, more brain training at number one, you know that's when you know the system is different from anything else, the 1st one at 3rd too, Ukers are training them brains, look out, bunch of brainiacs taking the bus.

Cod4 at 2nd on the 360, i'm veyr veyr happy to see that, that's an amazing game, my personal favorite at 4rth, AC keeping the pimp hand strong.

Wii kinda susprises me, expected more games in the top 10, the controller is selling well, super mario galaxy showing some strenght.

Mass Effect performance to be expected, space Sci Fi is more of a Japanese and U.S thing.

Lots of titles holding steady on those charts - Uncharted, Mass Effect, Assassin's/Cod4. The big titles probably won't shift around too much over the next couple weeks as new console owners scoop them up.

At the risk of sounding like too much of a Wii-tard, the complete disappearance of Mario and Sonic and Wii software's prior sales leads me to believe Nintendo has its foot up its ass and there are massive shortages.

Still no Mario & Sonic? Seriously, Nintendo are showing just how dumb they are. This lack of software has no excuse, hardware can be excused to a certain extent but not software. Nintendo really need to pull finger, fans of these games will not wait forever, they will just move on to something else.

Either way, good for PS3 and 360.

I repeat again for mario and sonic no show, the game is out of stock everywhere! If the game was in steady supply then it would easily challenge top spot!

I think the argument is that Nintendo is having a problem giving out the discs to 3rd parties. I remember a few publishers commenting on this.

Isn't it known that Nintendo is a rate-limiting participant in 3rd party disc production?

Even if they were, I can't see how pressing a couple hundred thousand DVDs is anything like making a new shipment of DS carts. Disc-based games almost never sell out for more than a week anymore.

To be fair, there's a struggle between buying the a DS game or a Wii game.While the same can't be said between the psp and ps3.

Yeah, well I think there is a case of people buying Cooking Mama, MySims and the like on DS because it's not available on Wii.

If they don't fix it soon third parties will ditch Nintendo and maybe even seek reimbursement for lost sales. It's unacceptable.

Mario and Sonic is probably the most successful collaboration between Nintendo and Sega until now.. which makes me cry looking at Fzero GX but maybe we will get a Fzero WX through this success
 
I contributed to the Assassins Creed PS3 sales this week (though in Norway). It's a very impressive, repetive & ambitious game.
