I was sort of lazy and only picked my top ones, I didn't end up completely organizing them from top down, I'm too tired to do that right now.

Yeah. I can see where votes are being referred from, and I can tell when multiple votes are being sent from the same person.

And I'm going to have to give most of this set another listening, as it's been so long since I copied most of these into the list that I've forgotten what they sound like.

What if they use a proxy or disable referrers?

Voting should be done on the thread itself, this also helps bump the thread and get more people to vote.

Fuuuck, the AitD song made me realize nobody nominated any Obscure songs, which is a huge shame, as the game has a ridiculously awesome soundtrack which you wouldn't have otherwise expected.

I'm a Phoenix Wright whore and it shows. Also, unless I've played the game and have a better grasp of what a song is trying to accomplish, I'm the type that tends to dismiss most orchestral/symphonic type stuff as "wannabe movie soundtracks" if they don't come out of the gate with a quick and solid first impression. That's going to be coloring my selections a lot throughout this poll, I imagine.

11 of the tracks in my list are from games I've never played.

Some brief stats for the first 90 minutes of voting:
- # of votes received: 24
- 3 songs in the top 10 have no 1st place votes
- 47 of the 50 songs have shown up on at least one person's list so far
- the current #1 track shows up on less than 50% of the voters' lists
- being at the bottom of the post doesn't keep you from racking up a significant number of votes

Youtube seems to fudge the audio like that every now and then, I've noticed. I can always replace the links in the OP with better ones if people find any, though.

Going to actually go play some games now (MM9 :D) and check back on this thread later.

It would probably be for the best if the people who listened to all 50 songs got more weight behind their vote.

Then again, people might choose an extra 10 random songs to boost their original 10 songs. But I don't really see that happening unless Kotaku links to this poll, and shitloads of random people gum it up.

Um, this might sound a bit picky, but any chance you could put <label></label> tags around each option so we can just click the text to vote, rather than having to point at the tiny boxes? Many thanks.

What can I say apart from I love After Burner? :D

Ashura/Rambo was a surprise as it was called Secret Commando in Europe and I used to play that a hell of a lot on my Master System with a friend.

Alex Kidd is probably only there as it is one of the few games I ever played with my sister and we both remember the tune fondly.

My reasoning for leaving out Choatic Dance, the only Baten Kaitos track that I did not put on my list, is because it is bilge.

Holy wow, the Ace Combat series has some stunning music.

I really like Zero, but barring that none of the tracks listed did anything for me.

Well for me it's something to discuss I guess, and its interesting to see why people voted for what they did.

Wow, Click Clock Wood really takes me back, I spent so much time on that level, absolutely loved it to bits and it's so bouncy and happy lol I love it.

So I'm just going through the list of music so far now, and Ace Attorney in particular has made me notice just how much I prefer faster more lively music.
