inFamous. And the comic is spot on, amazingly. Most Penny Arcade comics aren't very good.

Oh okay, so that explains this one a bit more. Game doesn't look all that interesting to me. Still enjoy the jab at most game design, though.

It didn't look interesting to me at all. And then I played the demo. Holy fuck.

I just wish I had the time to play it.

Think they are mostly funny and spot on, and there is no drama or creepy perverted artist doing them.

Pretty spot on. I did both things in the demo. Take down, revive, take down, revive +++ and they'd still be thankful for your action.

The fence is the most annoying thing I found in the demo as well.

There's no "GAF". There's only people. And a certain minority who likes to go in every comic thread to say they suck if they don't make you actually laugh out loud, or if the 2nd pannel is funnier than the third one.
And there's also conspiracy-theory-type guys, and they like PA threads because they can say PA just hates sony.

I've seen the title but I know nothing about it. Other than it has issues with capitalization. Looking at Wikipedia it is a sandbox game and not being released in Japan. Sounds like a pretty few good reasons for me to not pay much attention to it.
 
I remember thinking the EXACT same thing in the demo. He can scale a building, but he can't hop a chainlink fence. :lol

But it makes sense that you can't shoot lightning through it.
The climbing thing is just LOL. :lol

Oh and I'm glad I can enjoy both Western and Eastern games.

Yeah, had that same thought in the demo too. Is he unable to climb it because he would electrocute himself (like in water), or is it just the barbed wire at the top? One of the gaming world's great mysteries...

I thought the original comic was funnier but this second one was a freebie they chucked in so I won't complain :D

In the "protect the medical crate" level, there are actually chain link fences without any barbed wire that you can jump into, but he'll just slide off. Like warm butter.
 
I hate games with ridiculous untraversable barriers. Most WWII games feature indesctructible gates, walls and doors you can't pass. My "favourite" example was first the Godfather game where the unstoppable killing machine protagonist couldn't climb over 2 foot high railings.

My personal favourite is any WWII game where you've got grenades, some sort of rocket launcher or a flamethrower and have enough power in 2 melee shots to punch/kick someone to death, yet you are completely stumped by a locked wooden door.

But the ultimate was Red Faction. I blew the fuck out of the side of a building and the wooden door was left unscathed as was the glazed window which was now suspended in mid-air.

The second game also has temperamental fences. Coppola would be ashamed of himself.
