Taking cues from Randam_Hajile's quite successful backlog-a-thon from Summer 2008, I figured we could use another one. Why now? The late fall gaming frenzy is over, and as GAF is no doubt aware, early 2010 (from late January to around April) is jam-frigging-packed with releases. The official 2010 gaming thread starts listing releases (sans Bayonetta) on January 26, giving me just a little leg room to make this work. Might as well jump into a bunch of new games guilt-free, eh?
I know this isn't ideal with Christmas in two days, but it is what it is. It's literally now or never, once Mass Effect 2 hits on January 26 there is not period of time where I could fit in a backlog-a-thon month without overlapping on releases. I'm thinking about pushing back the end day by a day or two if Christmas/Bayonetta prove too troublesome. I feel I should mention that this will hopefully immediately clear out Christmas games you get, preventing them from hitting your "real" backlog altogether. Hopefully.

Objective:
To see how many of your backlogged games you can complete in one month.
Duration:
Start: Wednesday, 23 December 2009
End: Saturday, 23 January 2010 (or thereabouts)
End: Saturday, 23 January 2010 (or thereabouts)
Rules:
- A backlogged game counts as any game you haven't played or finished ("beaten").
- Every game you finish counts as one point. You can tally your points regularly and at the end of the month in your thread posts.
- You cannot count games that don't truly end. (The Sims 3, etc.)
- The length of the games you play is up to you. Obviously, playing shorter games will result in more points. Spend your free time as you wish.
- All games played may be discussed in this thread and absolutely must be spoiler tagged, regardless of when the game was released. Example:
This is a spoiler.
- Backloggery.com is encouraged for in-depth tracking. My backloggery is here.
- Have fun!
