What is it?
The latest James Bond adventure. Hitting the PS3, 360, PC and Nintendo DS this fall.

Release Dates
Nov 2nd- North America
Nov 5th- Europe

In light of there being no movie to tie into this year, this is an all new story penned by famed Bond writer, Bruce Feirstein, who has written the scripts for Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough (they can't all be winners), he has also helped with the scripting of Everything or Nothing and the update of From Russia with Love.

What is it about?
The story focuses on James Bond, world renowed spy for MI: 6, who teams up with Nicole Hunter to track down a missing scientist. During their search, they come across a much larger plot which involves diamonds in some fashion!

Who's in It?
The main role will of course go to current James Bond star, Daniel Craig, who will be voicing the character as well.

Madame Judi Dench will also reprise her role as M for the game.
Joss Stone will not only be providing the title track for the game, but also the Bond girl in Nicole Hunter.

What about the game?
The game is a 3rd person action/adventure title similar to last gen's Everything or Nothing and From Russia with Love. You are cast in the role as James Bond who will wield a ton of different weapons as well as deadly melee strikes.

In addition, Bond will take the fight to land, sea and air.

Does it Have Multiplayer?
Multi is something that has really been touched on ever so briefly.
The multi seems to be only team based, 8 on 8. One squad plays as MI 6, the other as bad guys trying to stop them. Goal based. Really all been said about it.

Reviews
IGN 5.0
Blood Stone is not a bad game: it's just a painfully average one. There aren't any majorly broken elements to it, but just because this Stone is relatively polished, doesn't make it a gem. There really isn't anything at all remarkable about it, and even though it's extremely short it still manages to wear out its welcome thanks to its extremely repetitive design

Eurogamer 5.0

Mostly, the game disappoints because it fails to pass the Brand Name Test. Would we still care if it wasn't James Bond? Almost certainly not.

Gamespot 7.5

But when it hits those high notes--which it does more often than not--Blood Stone is a quality action game. From exciting driving to fast-paced and stylish combat, Blood Stone is an enjoyable foray into the world of James Bond in spite of its flaws.

Gameinformer 7.5

Bizarre clearly set out to make Blood Stone feel like a part of Bond's movie canon, and it's certainly successful on that front. The weapons are anemic, and the driving sections can be dodgy, but it delivers a dose of spectacle and intrigue worthy of the character.

From what I've seen the gunplay seems very similar to SC: Conviction. Whether it's a good thing or not depends on your taste, I guess.

The Everyman
btw, anyone else out there want a videogame like casino royal?

something a little more suave than pure run and gun?

it might be tougher to pull off gameplay wise but it could be done.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
I'm sure the car sequences will be cool, but I think GoldenEye will be the better of the two. Even the Blood Stone intro is embarrassing by comparison.

Actually looks like it could be fun, but at a reported 4 hours long on the hardest difficulty, I'll wait for a price drop.

High Moon could have made a decent 'new' Bond game with the Bourne engine.

That was part of the goal with Alpha Protocol and it works well sometimes, but that was part rpg.

this Bond game looks like SC Conviction without the identity crisis.

Watched a stream of somebody playing it. Hardest setting took him about 4 hours.
Why do people watch an entire game through a stream? Makes no sense.

Still not convinced about the difficulty. People clamoring how short Force Unleashed II is and I still haven't beaten it. Long games annoy me anyway.

Because:

1- They have no intention of buying it
2- Activision has shown so little of it that they want to figure out exactly wth this game is
2- They're just bored on the WE

OH HO HO, Bizzare/Activision, you clever bastards! The plot twist is actually
Bond avenging Joss Stone's death like he did Vesper's at the end of QoS
!

Because they want to see it even if it's from beginning to end, rental places are starting to die out and "LOL UNRELEASED (at the time) GAME! MUST WATCH"?

There's nothing wrong with watching a stream. I do it from time to time. I just never understood people sitting through the thing from front until end. Oh well, whatever works for people I guess.

Still thinking about this. Target has their B2G1 next week, so might pick it up there Tuesday.

Didn't watch the whole thing through the stream he posted his game completion time and difficulty he played.

The fact so little is actually talked about in regard to this game in the media is certainly troublesome. I suspect the driving portions will be good but the rest will be lacking.

The game was greenlighted simply because they didnt want to release a James Bond game only on one platform so they were forced to make another

Too true. I can't find much on this game at all. Bizarre Creations was at least a B+ to A- dev but under Activision, they seem C level at best.

Yeah was kind of sad, I don't even think there is much in the way of hands-on.

Or at least nothign further than the intro segment.

Pre-ordered this and Goldeneye solely from listening to the music on youtube.

I remember back playing Quantum of Solace multi when it was released and asked other players why they were playing this and NOT Gears2. One guy responded, "B/c I want to be a fucking James Bond!"

I've been playing the retail and let me tell you I've been having ALOT of fun with it. If you loved Everything Or Nothing then this is your game. I'll have a First Look of it on monday.

Good to hear man. After seeing Goldeneye videos, I'm going to have to get both games. 007 overload this week :lol

Between the Bond movies on TNT and the two Bond games coming out on Tuesday, I'm starting to become obsessed with the series again. I used to have all of the movies on VHS but maybe I'll ask for the bluray collection for Christmas this year.

This one looks like a lot of fun yet isn't getting much attention or marketing. Hell, I haven't even seen the MP for this game which is what I wanted to see. GoldenEye's MP will hold me over until Black Ops and probably still entertain me for a while. This game I can't tell though so please show some MP videos soon!

Same here. Especially since we know next to nothing about the MP. I swear, it seems like every game that I like has a SP that's 5 hours or less. I loved MOH's campaign more than most SP's but it ended 10 minutes later. :lol

Or they're a filthy pirate and they finished the game already. Most likely answer.

I had forgotten this game existed. When Penguin asked me if I wanted to do the header I thought he meant Goldeneye. :lol

That seems to be the case for like 90% of Activision's games lately. It's really confusing as they send out good games to die while only promoting Black Ops.

They're putting all their money behind it, even though it needs advertisement the least of their titles.

What? :lol
You're saying people watch streams of unreleased games because they've already pirated it? :lol I'm sorry but no that's not the most likely answer.

No, I think he means people who claim to watch streams from start to finish actually pirated the game and finished it themselves.

The guy at a small videogame store I know gets games on fridays, tries a copy(which will end up as a rental) during the weekend before selling them on Tuesday.

Either way, here's somebody doing a walkthrough on youtube.

It's the intro level

MP is basically an objective/team based counterstrike thing (according to their description in their "behind the scenes" docs), only it's MI6 Vs Terrorists.
