BioShock Infinite is like playing some homeless guy's vivid imagination
Here are the ones that have stuck with me well after listening to the songs:

Sparklehorse, "Sea of Teeth"

The entire song is pretty much one of the most beautiful I've heard, but the opening line is particularly memorable for me:

"Can you feel the wind of Venus on your skin?"

The imagery is so powerful.

The National, "Slow Show"

The line:

"You know I dreamed about you
for twenty-nine years before I saw you"

The delivery and simplicity of it is what gets me. It's so poignant and sad and perfect.

The Antlers, "Thirteen"

If you ever want to cry your eyes out, listen to the Antlers' Hospice. I have listened to many sad and depressing albums, but this one gets me every single time. It is terribly haunting. But the one line in "Thirteen" that really kills me is:

"Can't you stop this all from happening?"

Imaging a loved one suffering in some way, begging you for help, and knowing full well that you can't do anything for them. Soul-shattering, but powerfully moving.

Nas, "One Time 4 Your Mind"

"Right, right, what up n****z, how ya'll, it's Nasty the Villain
I'm still writin' rhymes but besides that I'm chillin'"

My favorite verse in any rap song. Very simple and straightforward. But the delivery is absolutely perfect. Unlike the rest of the examples I posted, this one makes me feel really warm and happy.

I'd love for you all to check out the songs I posted as well as post your own examples (hopefully sticking to a format similar to the one I used for convenience's sake).

Treasure. What's you pleasure?
Life is a, uh, depending how you dress her.
So if the devil wear Prada,
Adam Eve wear Nada,
I'm in between, but way more fresher.
With way less effort, 'cause when you try hard,
That's when you die hard.
Ya homies looking like "Why God?"
When they reminisce over you, my god.

Most amazing female voice of all time. There, I said it.
I'm torn. Half of me agrees, but half of me pictures Nina Simone raising an eyebrow in disagreement.

Speaking of which:
Nina Simone - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood.

Nina Simone said:
Oh baby, I'm just human.
Don't you know I have faults like anyone?
Sometimes I find myself alone regretting
some little foolish thing;
some simple thing that I've done.

I think it's her voice on the first line but these lyrics are burned into me.

A moment, a love
A dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry
Our rights, our wrongs

Won't stop till its over
Won't stop to surrender

Here are two of my favorite lyrics from my favorite lyricist, Elvis Costello.

He thought he was the King of America
But it was just a boulevard of broken dreams
A trick they do with mirrors and with chemicals
The words of love in whispers
And the acts of love in screams

from Brilliant Mistake

I might make it California's fault
Be locked in Geneva's deepest vault
Just like the canals of Mars and the great barrier reef
I come to you beyond belief

from Beyond Belief

You horrify and petrify me,
To wear the crown that just astounds me,
You terrorise and paralyse me,
You've lost the plot and should be shot down.
[...]
You're just a whore and nothing more,
Your smile is pain yet you remain,

I've got Faith of the Heart
I'm goin where my heart will take me
I've got Faith to believe
I can do anything
I've got strength of the soul
No one's gonna bend or break me
I can reach any star
I've got faith
I got faith
Faith of the heart

In came my bartending friend and two bouncers
Accusing me of theft, Lord knows I should've left
But this buzz in me was like grinning up my jaw
Before I knew shite I were flat 'pon the floor
The whole song reminds me of some nights out that I've had, but these lines in particular crack me up.

Street's disciple my raps are trifle

I shoot slugs from my brain just like a rifle

Stampede the stage I leave the microphone split

Play Mr. Tuffy while I'm on some Pretty Tone shit

Verbal assassin my architect pleases

When I was twelve, I went to hell for snuffin Jesus

how long before i get in
before it starts, before i begin
how long before you decide
before i know what it feels like
where to where do i go
if you never try, then you'll never know

Neil Young - Old Man

"Doesn't mean that much to me to mean that much to you"

I remember hearing this on my dad's record when I was around 10 and to this day 16 years later it still rings as true as ever

Junior, please.
I don't even know much about them, but The Smiths' "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" has some spellbinding lyrics.

"And if a double-decker bus
crashes in to us
to die by your side
is such a heavenly way to die
and if a ten ton truck
kills the both of us
to die by your side
well the pleasure, the privilege is mine"

Jaw-dropping.

Also, from Andrew Bird's "Master Fade":

"The masterfade
I coulda played along
The masterfade
I coulda played Mah Jong
But it just takes too long

And who the hell can remember which way the east wind blows
When you're lying on the ground staring up at that inverted compass

I mean Christ, who knows..."

I just like that one.
